That's Mine! (A Monogram Giveaway, too!)

Image
I've seen and heard those quotes about monogramming everything. "If it's not monogrammed, is it even yours?" "If it doesn't move, monogram it". I could go on and on. Monogramming items isn't anything new. I remember as a kid having an off white crew neck sweater with my initials on it. I also had one of those fun wooden handle purses that was pink that had a white monogram on it. I think monograms are fun and really show that the item belongs to me!  I was thrilled to be asked to work with The Pink Monogram  and showcase an item from their collection! Talk about hard to pick what I wanted to review!  I decided to go with this quarter-zip pullover for a few different reasons. First, the color- I mean, it's pink! Secondly, I love the design of this so much with the huge front middle pocket that both of my hands can go in and the holes in the sleeves for my thumbs. Thirdly, it's supposedly Spring here in Michigan but we've been having so

You know when you're watching a show on television and you see something that someone is wearing and you have to find it? This happened to me a little while ago when I was watching the new TLC show called Love Lust or Run. I was just minding my own business when Stacy showed up wearing this same top!  It's no secret that I loved the show What Not to Wear and the hosts. I visited Clinton Kelly at his new show called The Chew a couple of years ago. Here's a picture to prove it...(any chance I have to share this picture I do!)  I sometimes am able to catch an episode here and there of The View when Stacy London is a co-host. When I saw she had this new show on TLC, I decided I needed to check it out.  It just so happened that one of the first episodes I saw, she was wearing this outfit. I immediately started looking online to see if I could find where she got it. I couldn't find it right away but was able to find some others that were similar. I

Yes, I realize it's the middle of March now. I realize that this thing called life gets in the way sometimes of doing other things like blogging or even cleaning and laundry, etc. You get the picture.  Well, the first week of March I spent a few days in Charlotte, NC for work. Meetings, meetings and more meetings. I'll tell you though- I love going and being with my co-workers and friends! It's just not the same on conference calls or WebEx as it is being live in the room. I enjoyed a nice room, plenty of food and lots of laughter and friendship.  Here's a recap of the few looks that I posted that week:  Monday, March 2- I played along with a Pinterest- inspired outfit for this day. It makes me wonder what we ever did without Pinterest and Instagram for inspiration!  Dress- Target (earlier this year) Cardigan- New York and Company (old) Shirt- Old Navy (old) Necklace- JCrew Factory (old) Bracelet- The Limited (earlier this year) Bag-

Gap Factory Slim City Pants

I'm reviewing some awesome pants from Gap Factory today!  This new style is called the Slim City fit and these are not only super cute, but super versatile. I thought I would show you a couple of looks that I came up with for both casual and work. You all know I am all about being able to wear my clothes multiple ways!  For work wear, I paired a bright blazer and a patterned top with heels and these navy cropped pants. The look is polished and professional and put-together while the pants are soft and comfortable khaki material! It's great for someone like me who works remotely and doesn't always go into the office!  For a more casual look, I paired the navy Slim City pants with a sweater and oversized white blouse and a scarf and loafers. This look was fun and functional and gave me ideas of how I could wear these pants so many other ways as well!  Today I am also able to offer a discount code so you all can get your own pair of these a

February 2015 Week Four Recap

This week I did a Pinned It, Spinned It style challenge that was all about polka dots. I had a lot of fun shopping in my closet and I even brought out a couple of newer items that hadn't been worn yet. I loved this week's looks so much and even used two of them for my February Favorites!  Monday, Feb 23- No outfit post on this day- my son had his third snow day in a row due to the cold weather we were having. Tuesday, Feb 24- I wore some of my favorite things on this day. I love this polka dot dress that I got a couple of years ago from New York and Company and  winterized it by adding a mustard blazer and a faux fur stole. I added tights and boots to finish off the look. One of my faves this month!  Jacket- Banana Republic (last year) Dress- New York and Company (old) Belt- Loft (old) Faux fur- Target (last year) Boots- DSW (old) Wednesday, Feb 25- I didn't have any polka dot pants to wear but these pants have circles on them so it's close

Guest Post: On Size and Style

Hi guys! I'm traveling this week for work so I'm letting my friend Alice write on my blog today. Enjoy! Hey lovely ladies! I'm Alice Tegtmeier, Personal Stylist, and I'm so happy to be sharing a bit of my heart and message with you. I don't have a blog of my own - I kind of treat my Instagram account that way by posting stylist fashion tips and tricks, inspirational messages and the occasional pic of my kids if they're doing something darling (maybe that's why those posts are "occasional" 😁). I'm @aliteg -  www.instagram.com/aliteg , follow me there, if you're so inclined 😉  Can we chat a bit about Size and Style?  All too often we equate looking fabulous with being thin. We think thin girls have it easy wearing whatever they want and finding clothes easily without the dressing room anxiety. We are haunted by the size number on the tag because we wish the number was smaller. We believe personal style and fun with f
