Curvy Girl on the Run

Yes, I realize it's the middle of March now. I realize that this thing called life gets in the way sometimes of doing other things like blogging or even cleaning and laundry, etc. You get the picture.  Well, the first week of March I spent a few days in Charlotte, NC for work. Meetings, meetings and more meetings. I'll tell you though- I love going and being with my co-workers and friends! It's just not the same on conference calls or WebEx as it is being live in the room. This week I did a Pinned It, Spinned It style challenge that was all about polka dots. I had a lot of fun shopping in my closet and I even brought out a couple of newer items that hadn't been worn yet. I loved this week's looks so much and even used two of them for my February Favorites!  Monday, Feb 23- No outfit post on this day- my son had his third snow day in a row due to the cold weather we were having. Tuesday, Feb 24- I wore some of my favorite things on this day. I love this polka dot dress that I got a couple of years ago from New York and Company and  winterized it by adding a mustard blazer and a faux fur stole. I added tights and boots to finish off the look. I realize I am a little late in posting these looks this time. I hope you all will forgive me for not posting this sooner! I've been extremely busy at work the last couple of weeks and then I wrote this post and then somehow deleted the whole thing! Oh well- here goes the recap!  I don't know about you all but the weather here is getting colder. Outside pictures on some days are freezing and layers are starting to pile on! Fall is almost over it feels like and winter is beginning! While I am writing this, it is currently cloudy and 50 degrees outside!  I'm feeling a little nostalgic about the waning of warmer temps but I am loving all of the fall clothes! This month has been a lot of fun and has flown by! Thanks again to the incredible ladies on Instagram @jro1583 and @aem8168 for putting this together!  Here are the looks for the week and the last couple of days of the month:  Monday- I have a floral cardigan but I couldn't find it so I decided to reverse the spin and wear floral on the bottom. I have worn this skirt before but I really liked this look today with the bright colors!  Tuesday- The pin on the left was the inspiration for this day's look. I didn't have a yellow skirt or necklace but I did have similar styles of these items. I haven't been doing my own style challenges for a couple of months now. I had a lot of fun May through July hosting them but it got to where I wasn't really able to wear what I wanted. I took off a month in August and didn't participate in any challenges at all. It was great coming up with my own ideas and combinations and I didn't struggle at all, although I missed the comradery of others participating in the same challenge as myself.  When I saw the Pinned It, Spinned It was back from my girls Jamie and Amy (@jro1583 and @aem8168) on Instagram, I decided to join in on this one again.
