Allow Me to Reintroduce Myself


Welcome to Curvy Girl on the Run! If you’re new around here, I’ve had this blog since 2013 and I’ve taken the last few years off to do more social media. I always knew that I’d be back here because my love of writing and still photography makes me so happy! 

I started this blog back in the day to show off how a plus size woman lives and loves her life and to encourage all of you to do the same! It doesn’t matter your size! Get out there and be happy! The same applies today and will always apply. Life is too short to worry about the small things - even though I do it too! 

This blog is all about lifestyle and fashion- what to wear, how to wear it, where to go, what to do, you get the idea! Follow me over on Instagram @curvygirlontherun and you’ll see reels and photos and can catch up from the last few years. 

I’m still in Texas and boy is it hot! I will share some fall-ish looks soon but here it’s still as hot as the surface of the sun! We’re in the 90’s and 100’s every day now so putting on long sleeves and boots makes me crazy! I’ll do it for y’all though! 

I’d love to hear about what you would like to read about, links you’re looking for and everything in between! I will be working soon on upgrading my website and I just can’t wait for all of the good things that I have planned!

Travel Tuesday: Sugar’s Inn Galveston

It’s a special edition of Travel Tuesday on a Thursday!   Ya’ll  need to get on board with going to Galveston! If you’re in the DFW area and you want to get to the beach, you can head south a few hours and get to Galveston easily! This was my second time visiting but I have a feeling I’ll be going back a little more often! I don’t have a ton of recommendations for you yet based on one weekend but the more I go, the more I’ll have!  First things first, where to stay?! There’s a new cute little boutique hotel in town named  Sugar‘s Inn  and I’m obsessed with the cuteness! It’s upstairs of one of Galveston’s finest restaurants  Sugar and Rye . Spoiler alert: I’ll be doing a giveaway with them over on Instagram too! Nothing better than a couple of nights away! Sunday Style: JJ’s House

It’s been said in various ways that clothes don’t make the person, the person makes the clothes. I believe this to be exceptionally true in this beautiful dress that I am wearing in today’s post! This dress literally made me wish that I was heading out to the opera or a benefit dinner. I love that I get to wear and model a lot of clothes and some just feel more special than others. This dress was custom made for me so I got all the feels while I was zipping it up and looking in the mirror. It fits like a glove and I could not be more in love with it!  Let’s talk about  JJ’s House  for a minute. They have all sorts of dresses for special occasions, including bridal wear! I picked out a dress and did my measurements and sent them in with my order. They even called me once to make sure that my measurements were correct so they made sure to make the dress correctly!  This  dress  has gorgeous nude tulle with a black lace overlay.
