This week is Christmas already! I've had a lot of fun this past month dressing up for the holiday! I wasn't feeling well last week so I missed a week but, so far, I have showed you all a few looks including dressing from day to night, dressing on a budget and now a more casual look.  I say casual but everyone always tells me that I am dressed up. I don't like to be underdressed or overdressed but given my choice between the two, I would rather be overdressed. When I say casual, I'm thinking more of a business casual look as opposed to wearing a dress for the holidays.  I did dress this look up today with my glitter heels. They are amazing. I want to wear them every day though that is extremely impractical! I don't know what I was thinking when I came up with today's theme for Outstanding October Stylr- Nerdy Chic. Is there even such a thing? I mean, who decides what is nerdy and what is chic? What if something I like you consider nerdy and I consider chic?  Enough of this nonsense- I decided to look more "nerdy" but what I actually call "smart" wearing glasses today. I wore a blinded out sweater over a polka dot long sleeve oxford. Here comes the fun part! I am actually showing you two different ways to wear this!  I love to get more mileage out of my clothes and be able to mix and match things. I used to think that I could only wear certain items for certain occasions. Now I am able to play around more with my clothes and wear them different ways and create different looks.  The first look is what I wore to work. Well this is almost the last installment of the Marvelous May Style challenge! I'm having so much fun looking through all of the pictures and seeing how creative everyone is! May is almost over so I thought I would break up the last days of the challenge instead of waiting until the end.  Day 23- Fabulous Flats- I have a lot of shoes. Flats, heels, sandals, you name it. A couple of months ago I happened upon these flats at TJ Maxx. It wasn't quite the weather to be wearing them yet, but I knew when it was I would get a lot if wear from them! I love everything about these- the color, the style, the fit, everything! I wore these with these fun pants that I got at Ann Taylor last summer. It was fun wearing these with all of the different shades of blue!  I chose to feature @tayloradaly because let's face it- glitter flats are fabulous flats! The end of March has come and gone and so has this challenge! This has been such a fun month of dressing up and putting on outfits! I am so glad that Hilary Rushford decided to start a new challenge next month too!  Day 21- Ladylike Lovely- I found this pretty dress at Goodwill last year and finally got the opportunity to wear it! I mean what is more ladylike and lovely than a pretty dress, pearls and bows?  Day 22- A Noticeable Necklace- this pretty flower necklace was one of the first things that I ever bought from Groopdealz. I still like the way it looks with outfits and I always receive compliments on it! I'm also doing some major pattern mixing and I hope it's one of the last times I have to wear boots and a vest!  Day 23- Coziness is Happiness- I'm still loving this beaded sweatshirt from Kohls. I was inspired by a couple of things for this outfit today. I can't remember where I saw it but I did see someone online wearing a similar outfit but with a striped skirt a few weeks back and it gave me an idea. I was also challenged for Style Me March to pair something together that you never wear together. I decided to look at this skirt and this tee together and immediately fell in love.  I love black and white together but you know me, I have to have some bright color in there too! I can't just wear black and white! I decided to wear some bright cobalt blue heels and pair the leopard clutch there for an extra pattern. I'm also wearing some J Crew statement earrings that have a little blue, mint and coral in them. I'm wearing my favorite Lia Sophia flower ring and some sparkly bracelets- one was gifted and one was a Groopdealz purchase. Well, it's a new year! A new opportunity to start fresh, blank pages in your book. I'm writing this post to reflect back on the last part of December's style challenge while looking forward to the new year and new challenges that begin in January- more on that later!  Day 22 was Dashing in These Shoes. I had been visualizing this outfit for a while and thought it worked well for a holiday brunch with the family. We had a great time eating and visiting with Santa! I ordered this skirt back in the summer from Little Spud Boutique through Groopdealz. I really don't know why I waited this long to wear it! It is really fun and so comfortable! I paired it with this Loft sequin tee from last Christmas, the infamous gold glitter bow belt from Target and these cute Franco Sarto pumps from DSW.  Day 23 was Joyfully Thrifted.
