Sunday Style: Floral Fantasy

Image
It’s not every day that you wear a dress and feel special-it should be, but that’s not always the case. This dress is truly a fantasy come true. The style of this Karinadresses is magical-it gives me such a good waistline and accentuates the curves of my body. The print is also perfect. A floral is my favorite but this one is special. A large floral print that is splashed on a black background gives the perfect detail to an otherwise perfect little black dress. As with all of karinadresses dresses, they can be dressed up or down. I chose to wear lace up sandals with this one today but I could also see it worn with booties and a sweater for fall. Comfort is key in this Tea Garden Carolyn dress and it’s light enough for the hot weather that we have going on here as well as across a lot of the US. Sunday Style: Coral Crush

Image
Summer is here and the warmth is upon us. I love all things warm including colors. One of my favorite colors that I am crushing on right now is coral. I think coral is an especially pretty color for the warmer months because it is all about nature and the beautiful colors and scenery around us. This beautiful karinadresses dress is one of my current faves. The colors are so fantastic for the warmer months! No need to worry about a jacket or being too dressed up or down as this dress is so versatile! I love the neckline of the Katharine dress because I can easily wear a fun necklace with it.  I chose a turquoise color since I thought it added a nice color to the Rosy Posy dress pattern that is white, coral and blue. And let's talk about these sandals! They are for sure my current favorite sandals and I am looking for all of the outfits to wear them with! The color is fantastic and the wedge heel! Oh, I love a good wedge! But also the ties are such a fun addition to th...

Sunday Style: Fandemonium

Image
Pandemonium is an uproar or a wild and noisy disorder or confusion. Fandemonium is an uproar over this dress! The fans on this karinadresses  dress add pizazz to such a bright beautiful teal color. I know it's technically called Spring Daisy, but come on, I am fanning out over this dress for sure! I also love karinadresses because they are what I call, the "world's easiest dress". Not only are they so easy to pack and so comfortable but they always are easily dressed up or down.  This is the Ruby  style and one of the things I love about this one is the sash that is tied around and accentuates the waist. Sleeveless is perfect for the weather here but adding a cardigan or jacket still allows the beauty of this dress to shine. In today's post, I am wearing this dress two ways. I love the easiness of this dress when worn dressed up with heels, but I also love the way I can dress it down and make it more casual with this moto jacket. Which way is your fav...

Sunday Style: Black and White Palm Leaves

Image
Oh hello there, summer! I didn't know we skipped Spring! It has been rather warm here (sorry not sorry to all of you still stuck in the snow...) with temps in the eighties. I didn't realize it would get this warm this quick but I do think the temps have been slightly higher than the norm. The pool even opened today! So, I guess I need to work on my tan now. Sorry for the paleness-I just moved here in November. Apartment living has me wondering where to lay out and absorb the rays of sun when the pool gate is closed. I don't have a balcony-I opted for a cozy indoor nook instead and now I am rethinking my decision. But that is neither here nor there. Look at this gorgeous palm leave print on this Ruby dress ! It has me swooning because the shape of this dress is perfect for me but the print is so good! It is the perfect dress to wear out or wear to work. I will put a jacket or cardigan over it to wear to work and change up my shoes. The V-neck elongates the body and the...

Sunday Style: Terrific in Teal

Image
Spring is coming!  It's hard being in Texas and seeing the seasons change- mainly because it's been about the same since I got here in November. It's cold for a day or two and then the temps warm up. Yesterday it was 80 degrees! Spring will be here soon and one of the great things is new prints from karinadresses . I've got the Carolyn  on in the Teal Fans design. The shape of this dress is terrific for every body type and the colors are fantastic! You can easily dress this one up or down.  I chose a nude heel and a floral clutch for some added fun. By the way, speaking of fun, the outtakes are hilarious as my heel kept getting caught in the boards of this bridge! Who says fashion can't be fun? And check out that amazing full moon in the first couple of pics! Beautiful!  Here are some pics of this terrific teal dress:  Dress: karinadresses (shop upper right in blog) Heels: Payless (last year) Clutch: Francesca's (last year...

Going For The Gold

Image
Going for the gold. If I was in the Olympics, I'd be competing to win first place and wear that medal around my neck. In life, it's also a competition to work hard, play hard, love hard, live hard. I want to win at these things as much as anyone else does.  I'm going for the gold in my karinadresses  Penelope dress. It's navy with brown leaves and what makes it exceptionally golden, are the pockets! Any dress or skirt with pockets is all right with me!  Notice that I'm wearing this Penelope  with gold shoes and I'm also carrying a gold clutch. Gold is such a great neutral and goes with so many things! I kept my jewelry minimal so the dress can shine through but I am wearing a lovely multicolored gemstone cuff and earrings.  Dress- Karinadresses (recent online) link on right in blog  Gold heels- JCPenney (recent in store clearance $5!)  Bracelet and earrings- JCPenney (last year) Clutch- Dakota and Dash (online last year)  Go fo...

Ravishing in Ruby

Image
You all know my love for karinadresses  . They never disappoint! The lovely patterns and designs of these dresses make them a simple choice for everyday style. This month I am featuring the Ruby in Atomic Umbrella.  The Ruby  is a wonderful design for curvy girls like me. I love how it is belted to show off my waist and the vneck elongates the neck and lengthens the torso. I also love the midi length of this style. It is the perfect length- not too short and not too long.  The fabrics are so comfy and wrinkle resistant which are perfect for traveling. These are the best dresses for work travels!  Here are some pics of the Ruby:  Dress- karinadresses (online recent) shop through the blog by clicking on the link on the right!  Shoes- JustFab online (early this year) Thanks for reading and following along with me!  Sandae

Autumn Watercolors

Image
Okay, okay, fine. I like autumn. I am still resisting it and the cold weather that comes behind it, but I am liking the briskness in the air and the smell of fall. Most of all, I like the colors. There is still a lot of green but I am noticing the leaves changing colors to yellow, orange and red.  Similar to the changing of the leaves is this karinadresses in the Autumn Watercolor design. I am wearing the Penelope  in this design and it is just magnificent! I cannot say enough how much I love these dresses but the Penelope is not only flattering but it's got pockets too! I love the way the waist is defined and the skirt flows out a little. It balances out my smaller top part of my body with the larger bottom part of my body.  The colors are beautiful just like the changing colors all around us. If we stop long enough just for a minute, we can enjoy all of the beauty that is in autumn.  I've styled this dress two ways for you:  Dressy Casual ...
