All About That Base
I had some friends in town this past weekend and they had some things on their list that they wanted to do. One of them was take a tour of the Rangers Stadium in Arlington, TX. It is actually called the Globe Life Park but it is where the Rangers play baseball. I loved the look and feel of the stadium as it was modeled after the old Tiger Stadium, Yankee Stadium, and Fenway Park. However, it has many features all its own. I especially liked the old-time feel of the stadium with the dark green steel beams and rafters and I liked the way the suites were all named after Hall of Fame baseball players. There were sepia pictures of the former players in the stadium and the flags were all held up with baseball pats. It was definitely a cool thing to experience. Seeing all the stadium behind the scenes makes me feel like I am special and that I have seen secretive parts of the stadium that most will not.
