It's been a little while since I have posted a Sunday Style post on the blog! I've been busy with life and just haven't been able to get to it. I hope this changes and I'm able to post much more! I've been talking colors on the blog in a few of my Sunday Style posts and I thought today I'd do another one and talk about one of my favorite colors, fuchsia.  Fuchsia is a variation of pink. When you mix other colors with pink, light or warm, they create new versions of the color. Fuchsia is a deep pink mixed with blue. I'm drawn to brighter colors but I love the meaning behind this one. Fuchsia is all about inspiring confidence and assurance and maturity, a more responsible and controlled nurturing and love. You are confident and not afraid to take action. Today's post is a two-for post- two outfits and packed with trends for Spring! I was asked by the resale company thredUp  to talk about a Wardrobe Cheat Sheet and share some of my picks for Spring.  Have you heard of thredUp? It's a company that takes your unused clothing that is in good condition and lists it on a site and then sells it for you. They send you a bag and you send it in and watch the credits come rolling in from your sales. So easy!  I live in Michigan where there are four seasons and winter particularly is difficult for me. The cold weather and snow are miserable and I live for seeing the spring each year!  I decided to show two looks that I think are perfect for spring! Every time I wear one of their dresses, I receive so many compliments and I feel like a million bucks!  As many of you know, I've been going through a personal transformation. My fitness routines and diet have changed and my body is catching up. When I first saw this dress, I wasn't sure how it would look on me. I struggle with all of the same insecurities that you all do!  I thought it might be too straight for me since I have wider hips- the struggle is real for us real women with real bodies and real curves!  But when I got it and put it on, all of those insecurities faded and to my amazement, I was so thrilled with everything about this dress. From the cut to the pattern to the color, I am in love with it. The fabric has stretch to it so it helps to cover and even enhance my curves. Today's look is an oldie but goodie. I have had all of these pieces in my closet for a while now. For me, I prefer classic pieces to trendy for the most part so I can wear them for many years. I paired a fun tweed moto jackets with black jeans and a blush blouse.  Blush is such a fun neutral color. It matches so many other colors and patterns. I remember exactly where I was when I bought this blouse too which is also fun to wax nostalgic each time I wear it. The bow can be tied or untied for a different look each time.  The boots are great with jeans but I also wear these a lot with dresses too. The clutch adds a pop of color and pattern. Paisley is such a classic print. It's used in everything from clothing items to accessories. I happen to love a pretty paisley and the print on this karinadresses  dress is no exception. I think this print is perfect for fall but let's also take a minute and love on the style of this dress! It's so perfect with the vneck front and the perfect waist with a fabric belt that I tied into a bow. The skirt is a fuller style with a great length hitting around the knee.  The fabric is a washable jersey fabric so it's not only super stylish but also super comfortable! This style is called the Maggie . Black and white is so simple. So easy. So elegant, yet effortless. I love having a dress that does all the work for me. This one has a great silhouette with a fitted bust, Aline skirt and even pockets! I added black and white patterned shoes for even more of an effect.  I found this wall a while ago and knew it would be perfect for today's post. I also loved that we took pictures later in the day and the sun was starting to cast a shadow on the wall behind me.  When I look at this picture, I'm reminded of this quote from Walt Whitman: "Keep your face always towards the sunshine- the shadows will fall behind you." I think that's a good reminder for all of us to keep looking ahead and to keep moving forward. Hope you all had a great Monday! This dress! I love the lace starburst pattern on it and the fit is so perfect. I thought I'd pair some leopard with it for an extra pop. Everyone knows leopard is a neutral, right?  I love unique clothing- especially dresses and skirts- that I can wear over and over. I wore this look for church today but I also think it would be great for a night out! It's Monday and last week I wore a lot of dresses so I thought I'd go a little more casual today. I'm wearing all older items but my son obliged me with taking more than one picture so that amounts into a blog post so I can share with all of you!  I love taking basic items and making them pop with a bright color or adding a fun clutch like this leopard one. This look is great for running around, a casual work environment or even going out at night.
