Style Spotlight: JORD Watches

A wood watch? That's a clever idea! That's what I thought when I first saw a watch from JORD. Then I got my own and loved it! 

I wanted to share this company with you as it was new to me so it might be new to you as well. You can find them located online at www.woodwatches.com and you can check out all of their fantastic pieces for yourself. 

These gorgeous timepieces are crafted by artists, designers and watchsmiths. They focus on their deep appreciation for natural elements and modern design when creating each piece. 

I love the different colors and designs of each one of these pieces. They are each so unique and you're bound to find one that matches your personality! I have been wearing mine non-stop since I received it and have gotten tons of compliments on it!

    WHAT FOLLOWS REPENTANCE AND WATER BAPTISM? BY STEVE FINNELL

    What follows repentance and immersion in water? According to the apostle Peter, forgiveness of sins and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit follows repentance and baptism. On the Day of Pentecost Peter preached Jesus as Lord and Savior and then told them to repent and be baptized.

    Acts 2:36-38 "Therefore let the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ." 37 Now when they heard this , they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?" 38 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let everyone of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.(NKJV)

    What follows believing that Jesus is Lord and Christ, repentance, and water baptism? The answer is forgiveness of sins and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit.

    Acts 2:38 And Peter replied, "Each one of you must turn from sin, return to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; then you also shall receive this gift, the Holy Spirit.(TLB-The Living Bible)

    What follows repentance and water baptism?
    Acts 2:38........for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (EXB-The Expanded Bible)

    Acts 2:38 .......so that your sins will be forgiven; and you will receive God's gift, the Holy Spirit.(GNT-Good New Translation)

    Acts 2:38......for the remission of sins, and you ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.(KJV)

    Forgiveness from sins and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit follows faith, repentance, and immersion in water.

It’s a special edition of Travel Tuesday on a Thursday!   Ya’ll  need to get on board with going to Galveston! Less Bitter, More Glitter

The saying goes "Spread Kindness around like Glitter" -okay it is really "Spread Kindness around like Confetti", but why not glitter instead? Glitter can be messy, it can be hard to clean up and can be fun and colorful. Just like our lives. Just a friendly reminder that this time of year can especially be a hard time for people. Holidays are a time when a lot of people see their friends and family but sometimes people don’t have anyone. Or maybe there are some people who don’t have much money to get gifts. Or some are remembering those that are no longer with us here on earth. Regardless of how you do or do not celebrate, remember to throw kindness around freely! Less bitterm more glitter!
