WhatUp Wednesday #45

Hi friends! Last week I was out of time to write so I promised a WhatUp post this week! What has been up with you all? It’s been a busy time over here blogging and picture taking and event going and all of that nonsense! My son is getting ready to go out of town and we are preparing for that. Christmas is a couple of weeks away for those who celebrate it and I’ve noticed just like myself, more and more people are super busy and not engaging in social media as much. If you are one of those who worry or care about engagement, fear not, one day (most likely in January) people will slow down and care more about what they are seeing and reading! That’s just a little pick-me-up for my blogger and IG friends out there who think they are struggling! 

So, first things first. This green dress y’all! It’s from SheIn and I showed you all a sneak peek on Black Friday but here are some more pictures of this gorgeous dress  I love that it has a bow (duh) and also a little people in front that is so cute! Now, this past week I have attended a few events - a pop up party in Nordstrom last week featuring pieces from The Accessory Junkie, a holiday party, a holiday coffee shop and  a holiday Pop Up picture taking spot called Holly Jolly PopUp. Tis the season of fun and merriment! I’m thinking I’ll actually share the two Christmas themed places together in a post so you can see all of the cuteness! Hopefully if you’re in the DFW area, you can find a little time to check them out! 

Here are some pics from the Nordstrom NorthPark Mall pop up shop with The Accessory Junkie! I love this company and how they comb the world’s treasures looking for the best things to bring to us! Each piece is gorgeous and handmade and there is a story behind each one! It was nice to meet the founders and stylist Emily Men hosted the event for us!

We did watch one thing on Netflix and that was The Christmas Chronicles. It stars Kurt Russell as Santa and a couple of kids end up helping him deliver his presents. It was a fun feel good movie and I’m sure your whole tenily will love it!

It’s a special edition of Travel Tuesday on a Thursday!   Ya’ll  need to get on board with going to Galveston! Less Bitter, More Glitter

The saying goes "Spread Kindness around like Glitter" -okay it is really "Spread Kindness around like Confetti", but why not glitter instead? Glitter can be messy, it can be hard to clean up and can be fun and colorful. Just like our lives. Just a friendly reminder that this time of year can especially be a hard time for people. Holidays are a time when a lot of people see their friends and family but sometimes people don’t have anyone. Or maybe there are some people who don’t have much money to get gifts. Or some are remembering those that are no longer with us here on earth. Regardless of how you do or do not celebrate, remember to throw kindness around freely! Less bitterm more glitter! It’s a great time to spread cheer but so is all year!   Show a smile to a stranger or pay for someone’s drink behind you in line. Write someone a note to tell them how much you appreciate them.
