Travel Tuesday: The Frenchie Boutique Hotel

Hi friends! Well this post is delayed a tiny bit but never mind you’re not missing out on any of the fun! It’s just a day late…Anyways, last week, I took a trip to Round Top, TX, one of my favorite cities!

If you’ve never been to Round Top, you’re really missing out! It’s about 3-4 hours from Dallas and is a quiet little town with a population of 87. That is, 87 people who can vote…but don’t get me started down that path…

I was invited by the Frenchie Boutique Hotel to come and stay and check out their beautiful property. I jumped at the chance even though it was not on a weekend and was in January-
More on that in a minute!

The Frenchie Boutique Hotel sits about 1/4 mile from the town square and is easily accessible by car or foot if you’re set on getting some exercise and walking a bit. It’s got a cute little white picket fence and several buildings that sit on the property. The Mainhouse is where we stayed but there’s also a little house that sleeps 4, another building with rooms, a shabby chic shack that sleeps 2 and other cabana rooms near the pool.

The Mainhouse greets you with a beautiful blue door and a small blue Fiat in the front. It’s a magical look whether it’s sunny or rainy like it was for us! It has multiple rooms on the first and second floors, sitting areas, a beautiful kitchen and an (almost) wraparound porch!

One thing I love about Round Top is the decor. It seems like every single place in the area is decorated to perfection. The Frenchie is no exception! I loved the bright colors in the sitting rooms and bright blue tile in the kitchen but then the rooms are quaint with beds, paintings, beautiful palatial tubs and chandeliers and sitting areas. It’s such a fun mixture of classic and eclectic!

We had a room with two double beds and a gorgeous bathroom. Our room also had its own door to the porch that we didn’t use because it was just too chilly when we were there. I could totally see myself seeing there in the rocking chair drinking my coffee though next time!

The kitchen in the Mainhouse was accessible by all the guests. We brought food for us to enjoy on Monday and Tuesday as most of the area is closed for business on those days. We had a good time making breakfast and charcuterie boards for dinner though! The coffee maker is a cute little pink thing and the kitchen has all beautiful stainless steel appliances and all the pots and pans, glassware, and dishes you’ll need for your stay.

The sitting areas are comfy and bright and you know I am in love with the bright colors, shapes and designs! These rooms made for the perfect backdrop for photos too! Oh and don’t get me started on the beautiful pink Smeg refrigerator!

Once we got out of the Mainhouse, we  explored the rest of the property! I won’t show you pics of everything because that would ruin the whole surprise when you get there! Instead, I’m going to mix and match some pictures from all of the other buildings so you can see some of the beautiful decor!

Don’t forget to bring your swimsuit for the pool and hot tub! It was a bit cold for us to use these this time but next time for sure I will! Next to the pool is a the pool house with a gorgeous fireplace and bar. Order some little eats and drinks while you’re there!

The Frenchie was amazing and I can’t wait to go back in the spring/summer when all of the flowers and trees are blooming. In the meantime, I’ll dream of that pink fridge and the blue tiles and beautiful tubs.

Thanks for reading and following along with me!
