Curvy Girl on the Run

Vacations are good, but what about a staycation? Last week I had so much fun doing a staycation at  Legacy West  in Plano, TX!  Let’s talk about  Legacy West  first. It’s an upscale shopping center that has tons of great places to shop and eat! There is one hotel on the property and it’s the  Renaissance Hotel  by Marriott. There’s so much to choose from and it’s quickly becoming a luxury destination with new stores being added like Gucci, Tiffany and Co, Louis Vuitton and Tory Burch.  For this little overnight visit I stayed at the  Renaissance Hotel , ate dinner at  Taverna  and ate brunch at  Haywire . I live fairly close to here so I have shopped and dined here many times before!  Let’s start with dinner at  Taverna ! This restaurant is upscale Italian and is so delicious!  Here’s what I tried:  Salad- Burrata Caprese Starter- Zucchini Squash Chips  Wood Stone Oven- Chef’s Focaccia...

We were visiting Round Top, Texas and decided to go into town and shop the square and get some lunch. We stumbled into this quaint restaurant called  Local Roots  that was decorated beautifully and had food to die for! I literally asked if all of the restaurant owners in Round Top were world renowned chefs!  The ambiance of  Local Roots  is country meets antiques and I’m here for it! The seating is all different and the decorations are so unique and fun! The owner and her best friend make the food and they are so bubbly and fun! We ran into them later that night as we were out and about and caught up a little with them.
