Travel Tuesday: Legacy West

Vacations are good, but what about a staycation? Last week I had so much fun doing a staycation at Legacy West in Plano, TX!

Let’s talk about Legacy West first. It’s an upscale shopping center that has tons of great places to shop and eat! There is one hotel on the property and it’s the Renaissance Hotel by Marriott. There’s so much to choose from and it’s quickly becoming a luxury destination with new stores being added like Gucci, Tiffany and Co, Louis Vuitton and Tory Burch.

For this little overnight visit I stayed at the Renaissance Hotel, ate dinner at Taverna and ate brunch at Haywire. I live fairly close to here so I have shopped and dined here many times before!

Let’s start with dinner at Taverna! This restaurant is upscale Italian and is so delicious!

Here’s what I tried:

Salad- Burrata Caprese
Starter- Zucchini Squash Chips
Wood Stone Oven- Chef’s Focaccia
Main- Filetto Di Manzo
Dessert- Crema Catalana
Drink- Blood Orange Margarita
Drink- Aperol Mandarine Mule

Everything was so delicious and the staff were so friendly and attentive. They even gave me a stand to hang my bag on! It was a lovely dinner and I will definitely be back!

Now let’s look at the hotel!

The Renaissance Hotel is right on the property and is a Marriott hotel. I stayed in a regular room and had plenty of room and had a view of the surrounding Plano and Frisco area. I enjoyed the pool on the rooftop and loved seeing all of the Asian Cowboy themed decor!

The night stay was fantastic and I even had fireworks from my window at night! I’m sure it was from a Frisco Rough Riders game but hey, it was fireworks!

The next day I got out and walked around to see the progress of the newest luxury stores on property, grabbed an iced coffee and then headed to brunch at Haywire. Don’t forget to check out the newest installation that’s perfect for pics too!

Time for brunch! Haywire is a western theme decor restaurant and specializes in great food and drinks! It’s one of my favorite restaurants in the area!

Here’s what I tried:

Starter- Fried Green Tomatoes
Starter- Kolaches and Queso
Salad- Butcher’s Cut Steak Salad
Brunch- Texas Pecan Brown Butter Pancakes
Dessert- Route 66 Pecan Pie
Drink- Velvet Pear
Drink- Front Porch Swing

Everything was so delicious as usual and definitely looking forward to coming back!

Well there you have it! A fun little staycation at Legacy West! I hope you’ve gotten some ideas of things to do if you decide to get out of town or explore your town a little more!

Thanks for reading and following along with me!
