WhatUp Wednesday #48

Happy Wednesday! We’ve made it halfway through the week! I seem to always start by telling you about the weather in DFW so today was sunny and sixties and windy. They’re calling for possibly snow on Saturday!?! I’ll believe that when I see it! At any rate, I’ve gotten my supplies to make a crockpot of chili so either way, I’m excited!

Today’s feature is this beautiful polka dot dress from SheIn! I actually photographed this last week when the weather was far less windy and more sunny. I’m loving the design of this dress including the fun ruffle sleeves and it’s super long on me making it a maxi but I bet my tall friends will be happy with it!

I’m thinking there are a few ways that I would wear this dress but for this time I’ve added a hat of the same color and just some  little booties that are cream. You could also do a chunky long boot and possibly a fur. I bet for those of you with snow it would be a beautiful combo photographed outside!

Here are a few pics for your viewing pleasure:

Make sure to use my coupon code “curvygirl15” when you shop at SheIn! It’s good for 15% off $59+ of plus sized items.

So the main thing I did this week was go to Barnes and Noble in Dallas on Monday night for a book signing with Jen Sincero. I was first introduced to You Are A Badass this last year and I’m telling you, it’s life changing. How you look at things is different. How you approach things is different. I had a wonderful time meeting her and listening to her read from her new book, You Are A Badass Everyday, and we did a meditation as well.

I loved seeing how many people came out to see her and listen to her. She has a lot of great advice and she did an amazing job with questions and answers as well. I don’t go to a lot of book signings but this was one that I really wanted to go and I thoroughly enjoyed!

Here’s a few outfits from this last week that you might have missed:

I did go and see the movie Mary Poppins Returns and I was so happy when I left! It was so good! I have been listening to the soundtrack as well and I’m just so happy that a movie like that was made! Mary Poppins is my favorite Disney movie so it’s no surprise that this one was up on the top of my list to see as well!

Other than that, I’ve taken it pretty easy this week! I’ve had enough to do with working and looking for a full time job! That’s a full time job in and of itself!

Here’s hoping that the rest of your week goes by quickly and smoothly!

Thanks for reading and following along with me!

  1. Crockpot chili is the best. I think I might make some this week.
