Fall Essentials with Catherines

 Summer is technically almost over and fall will soon be in full swing around here! Today I’m talking about some fall essentials and thankfully my friends at Catherines are here to help me show you all some of them! 

A good pair of denim is definitely the first thing that I would recommend. I’m wearing the Universal Bootcut Jean and I love it! It’s been a while since I’ve done a bootcut but with the colder weather coming, I’ll have to wear boots more often! 

Speaking of boots, I got this pair of booties from Catherines that I am loving! They are short booties and fit so well with the denim! Booties are great to wear with denim and pants but have you thought about wearing them with skirts and dresses as well? This pair is a darker brown which is a great color to start with for your fall essentials list! 

Now, fall is all about the leaves changing and hot cider and donuts and football! What am I leaving out? The colors are brilliant hues of oranges and reds and browns and the colors we wear also tend to get darker! I’m loving tees to layer under all the sweaters and topper pieces. Speaking of tees, this tee with the criss cross in the front is a great alternative to a basic! This tee looks so well under layers making no necklace necessary! 

The last piece of this look is the beautiful kimono layered on top! The colors are so beautiful in it and the leaves in the design make this kimono the perfect fall layer! Layers such as kimonos like this one or sweaters are definitely a fall essential!  

I also have a couple of beautiful accessories that I’m wearing as well! The bracelet has warm colors in it and the earrings are a gold that match with everything!

Less Bitter, More Glitter

The saying goes "Spread Kindness around like Glitter" -okay it is really "Spread Kindness around like Confetti", but why not glitter instead? Glitter can be messy, it can be hard to clean up and can be fun and colorful. Just like our lives. Just a friendly reminder that this time of year can especially be a hard time for people. Holidays are a time when a lot of people see their friends and family but sometimes people don’t have anyone. Or maybe there are some people who don’t have much money to get gifts. Or some are remembering those that are no longer with us here on earth. Regardless of how you do or do not celebrate, remember to throw kindness around freely! Less bitterm more glitter! It’s a great time to spread cheer but so is all year!   Show a smile to a stranger or pay for someone’s drink behind you in line. Write someone a note to tell them how much you appreciate them.
