Sunday Style: Ruffles and Stripes

I bought this top, skirt and shoes months ago. I loved it when the new Atlantic Pacific x Halogen came out at Nordstrom. The pink and green colors just spoke to me in this one since they were so bright and colorful- like me! 

The ruffles on this top and skirt are so fun! I love the v-neck on the top and the fact that it’s belted helps to accentuate the waist. The skirt is also ruffled with a waistline (that you can’t see when wearing the top) but could be paired with another top and tucked in for visibility. 

Let’s talk about the shoes! I wasn’t sure if I would like these since they are more of a flat form type tennis shoe but I do love them! They match this outfit beautifully as well as the other dress that I got from this collection. 

I’m only sorry that I didn’t show it off sooner! I guess I was just waiting for the right time?!

I added a pair of simple pink earrings and a pink headband for accessories. It’s just so hot that I had to put my hair up!

Travel Tuesday: Sugar’s Inn Galveston

It’s a special edition of Travel Tuesday on a Thursday!   Ya’ll  need to get on board with going to Galveston! If you’re in the DFW area and you want to get to the beach, you can head south a few hours and get to Galveston easily! This was my second time visiting but I have a feeling I’ll be going back a little more often! I don’t have a ton of recommendations for you yet based on one weekend but the more I go, the more I’ll have!  First things first, where to stay?! There’s a new cute little boutique hotel in town named  Sugar‘s Inn  and I’m obsessed with the cuteness! Sunday Style: JJ’s House

It’s been said in various ways that clothes don’t make the person, the person makes the clothes. I believe this to be exceptionally true in this beautiful dress that I am wearing in today’s post! This dress literally made me wish that I was heading out to the opera or a benefit dinner. I love that I get to wear and model a lot of clothes and some just feel more special than others. This dress was custom made for me so I got all the feels while I was zipping it up and looking in the mirror. It fits like a glove and I could not be more in love with it!  Let’s talk about  JJ’s House  for a minute. They have all sorts of dresses for special occasions, including bridal wear! I picked out a dress and did my measurements and sent them in with my order.
