Falling Into Fall with Chic Soul

It’s officially fall now! Along with the season changing comes the wardrobe changing. In some places it’s more drastic than others. Here in Texas, it’s more about adding a layer if you need one at this point. We will still have some 90 degree days so I thought it would be fun to show some styles that are super transitional.

Let’s get started with this fun orange floral dress! This dress is perfect for our weather now since it’s warmer but I can also throw on a denim jacket when it cools down. Booties are a perfect addition for this dress or you can even wear sandals with it too until it gets cooler! The next look is a casual one. There’s nothing like a great pair of jeans with a top and this is no exception! I love the deep color of this top and it has a fun pattern too! The style is so good and it looks perfect with denim- distressed or not!

How about another casual look? I also love the simplicity of throwing on a sweater and jeans! This lightweight sweater is perfect for fall mornings and evenings! I love the colors and the weight of it makes it so perfect for right now! I would also layer a jacket on top of this or maybe even a collared shirt under it for more warmth! Booties and denim are a must and I had fun wearing it by adding a mustard fedora!

Alright maybe I saved the best for last?! I don’t know but I love this dress so much! Maybe it was the sunflowers or maybe it’s just because it’s that good! Mustard is one of my favorite colors to wear in the fall and I love the color of this dress as well as the style! The ruffle tiers and long sleeves make this dress one of the best for the season! Again, I would add booties and a denim jacket for more warmth. Maybe even a fun hat!

Travel Tuesday: Sugar’s Inn Galveston

It’s a special edition of Travel Tuesday on a Thursday!   Ya’ll  need to get on board with going to Galveston! If you’re in the DFW area and you want to get to the beach, you can head south a few hours and get to Galveston easily! This was my second time visiting but I have a feeling I’ll be going back a little more often! I don’t have a ton of recommendations for you yet based on one weekend but the more I go, the more I’ll have!  First things first, where to stay?! There’s a new cute little boutique hotel in town named  Sugar‘s Inn  and I’m obsessed with the cuteness! It’s upstairs of one of Galveston’s finest restaurants  Sugar and Rye . Spoiler alert: I’ll be doing a giveaway with them over on Instagram too! Nothing better than a couple of nights away! Sunday Style: JJ’s House

It’s been said in various ways that clothes don’t make the person, the person makes the clothes. I believe this to be exceptionally true in this beautiful dress that I am wearing in today’s post! This dress literally made me wish that I was heading out to the opera or a benefit dinner. I love that I get to wear and model a lot of clothes and some just feel more special than others. This dress was custom made for me so I got all the feels while I was zipping it up and looking in the mirror. It fits like a glove and I could not be more in love with it!  Let’s talk about  JJ’s House  for a minute. They have all sorts of dresses for special occasions, including bridal wear! I picked out a dress and did my measurements and sent them in with my order.
