Sunday Style: Spring Into Spring with Dress Barn

Have you checked out Dress Barn lately? I’m loving the news arrivals! I wanted to show you a fun look that is great for our spring here in TX or someone else’s summer! The pool is open and people were swimming in it when we took these pics! 

A caftan gives me all of the Blanche Deveroux vibes and I am here for it! Miami isn’t the only city where caftan wearing witty women reside!

This caftan is available in several colors but I chose the orange because it’s one of my favorite bright colors! It does have pockets in the front, a tie in the back and buttons up front. I love the slits in it on the sides too! This caftan is the perfect material too for the heat! 

I added this striped straw bag as well for all of my necessities to take with me to the pool. I’ll be carrying this bag all summer! It’s the perfect size!

Travel Tuesday: Sugar’s Inn Galveston

It’s a special edition of Travel Tuesday on a Thursday!   Ya’ll  need to get on board with going to Galveston! If you’re in the DFW area and you want to get to the beach, you can head south a few hours and get to Galveston easily! This was my second time visiting but I have a feeling I’ll be going back a little more often! I don’t have a ton of recommendations for you yet based on one weekend but the more I go, the more I’ll have!  First things first, where to stay?! There’s a new cute little boutique hotel in town named  Sugar‘s Inn  and I’m obsessed with the cuteness! It’s upstairs of one of Galveston’s finest restaurants  Sugar and Rye . Spoiler alert: I’ll be doing a giveaway with them over on Instagram too! Nothing better than a couple of nights away! Sunday Style: JJ’s House

It’s been said in various ways that clothes don’t make the person, the person makes the clothes. I believe this to be exceptionally true in this beautiful dress that I am wearing in today’s post! This dress literally made me wish that I was heading out to the opera or a benefit dinner. I love that I get to wear and model a lot of clothes and some just feel more special than others. This dress was custom made for me so I got all the feels while I was zipping it up and looking in the mirror. It fits like a glove and I could not be more in love with it!  Let’s talk about  JJ’s House  for a minute. They have all sorts of dresses for special occasions, including bridal wear! I picked out a dress and did my measurements and sent them in with my order.
