Sunday Style: Avenue Style

Image
I thought for this week's Sunday Style post, I would share some of my favorite holiday looks from Avenue ! Avenue  wasn't always the place I would have thought of in the past for trendy cute outfits but over the last couple of years, I am finding I love them more and more! Holiday looks are no exception! Everyone knows I love a good dress but in today's post, I am sharing three of them! They are all different yet would work for multiple occasions. I am wearing them only as dresses in this post, but I am already thinking of other ways I will be wearing these dresses for everyday wear as well! First up is this gorgeous nude dress with blue embroidery . Be still my heart with this dress ! Oh I love how this is an easy pull over dress but the back tie just gets me! I paired this with some bling on my sandals and a gold envelope clutch for a simple look. The second dress is this fun sequin look ! This dress has sequins all over it and sparkle for days! This...

WhatUp Wednesday #18

Happy Wednesday!   Sweater- Dia & Co Top- Target Jeans- Melissa McCarthy Boots- Just Fab Just a simple look for staying home and then going out to get groceries today! But first let me say thank you for all of the kind words and comments that you all left me with my last post. I am still processing the whole job thing but it will make sense in due time-I am certain of this. I have been sick over the last week and have spent a good amount of time at home in bed so I have had lots of time to catch up on books and Netflix. The first book I read was In A Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware. I enjoyed this book even though it was a bit of a thriller since this isn’t typically what I read. I recently read her book The Woman In Cabin 10 which was also a thriller and discovered that I really enjoyed her writing. The other book I read was Summer Sisters by Judy Blume. This was a novel-an easy read-about girls growing up and being sisters on the Island for the summer...

Sunday Style: Hashtags

Image
For the last couple of weeks I have struggled to write something meaningful about what has been going on in my professional life. I have this wonderful platform of writing which is very therapeutic for me but I also want what I write to help someone if possible. I called this “Hashtags”- I will tell you why. I love a good hashtag. It’s even fun saying the actual word “hashtag” before your said hashtag. Maybe it’s just me or maybe you have to be there. “Hashtag blessed” is one of my favorites. I see people using it in a way that I might not use it-like” I got a venti coffee today instead of a grande” #blessed. You get it. Well, in my case, I really do feel that I am blessed. I don’t need a hashtag to say it, but I have been given wonderful opportunities in my personal and professional life and I am loving life. Little did I know that some things would change. As many of you might know, if you are reading the news or keeping up to date, Capital One decided to exit the Mo...

Style Spotlight: SHEIN

Image
Happy Thursday! I didn’t write my usual Wednesday post yesterday because I was under the weather but I did want to take some time today to share one of my new favorite brands with you all! Thanks for the invitation from SHEIN to review a couple of their pieces! I was not that familiar with this brand except for what I had seen on Instagram and I didn’t think they sold clothing that would fit me. Thankfully, I was able to try a couple of items from their Plus Size section and I am happy to report that I love both of them! First is this gorgeous maxi dress. The mustard color and floral are perfect for fall! I love the little details like the gold buttons on the sleeves and there is a matching fabric belt that I have tied in the front. The low vee neck wrap style is also very slimming and helps when showing off those curves! Here is the link to shop this gorgeous dress! The second look is featuring this beautiful black sheer floral top. In love with thi...

WhatUp Wednesday #17

Image
Well folks, a lot has happened since I have written a couple of weeks ago! In today’s blog post, I will stick to what’s been up in my personal life but stay tuned for a post that I will more than likely be writing about my professional life. Before I get into the past, here’s my #ootd for today. It is an easy peasy look and I am loving the beautiful floral pattern in this cocoon sweater! The sweater is from Knitted Belle Boutique , the flirty ruffle tee tunic is from Chic Soul Boutique and jeans are from Lane Bryant . These are actually jeggings and they are oh so comfy! And did you see the glitter on these booties? I actually got these on crazy clearance last year from Dillards at the end of the season. So we also had Halloween and I posted a pic of me in my outfit, which is Taco Belle.   My teammates had some amazing and fun costumes as well so I thought I would post a few pics of those too! I visited a new restaurant since I wrote last ti...
