WhatUp Wednesday #51

Hey friends! Happy Wednesday! This last week I had some fun! Can’t wait to tell you all about it! But first! Let me talk about this dress that I’m wearing today!

This fun gold faux wrap dress from SheIn is a winner! The entire month of February I’ll be wearing red and pink in each picture or outfit that I post! I added the red shoes for a pop of color and the leopard bag for even more fun! I added some shiny glam accessories like a fun bracelet, ring and earrings. You can shop the dress here and make sure to use my code curvygirl15 for an extra 15% off your purchase of $59+ on plus size merchandise!

Before I do a recap of what I did this week, here’s what I wore this week! If you’re not following me on Instagram, why not? I post daily outfits and fun stories- follow me @curvygirlontherun !

This is a Lularoe Liv tee with Kut From the Kloth denim and Converse sneakers.

I love this dress from Eloquii so much! I featured it on the blog on Sunday but it’s definitely worth another look!

This is a fun causal look all from Lularoe! The leggings are part of their Happy Hearts Club valentines collection and then a red Irma top with a striped green Sarah cardigan.

This is also a Lularoe outfit including a Debbie dress and a floral Shirley.

This dress is an oldie but goodie from Navabi but it’s a pretty red floral and I love it! I added a denim jacket to have a more casual look and I love how versatile it is!

This past week I did a fun outing with my work family to an Escape Room in Frisco! I’m proud to say that we managed to escape with everyone alive lol. There’s a lot of type A personalities that love these things but I like to sit back and take my time which is bad when you’re racing against the clock! Here’s where we went and a picture of us at the end!

We did a room that was from the west and we had to find cash and gold! It was fun but super hard- I thought it was supposed to be easier with kids!

On Sunday I met up with my friend Zanchelle to do some photos and have brunch. I’ll be sharing the photos soon but the brunch was amazing! We went to Stirr in Deep Ellum which was delicious and then walked around for a bit. We also went to the Magical Dessert Bar which is all unicorns! It was a little (or big) girl’s dream come true! There was A long line but I did find out that this is permanent and they’ve been open for a month. So that means this place will only bet busier as the weather gets even nicer! It was a bit overpriced but was fun and something to do! I’d recommend it if you have kids and they like stuff like this or if you’re a big kid like we are!

This was Stirr! Such a great ambiance and terrific food!

Everything was pink or unicorn themed at this bake shop! Such a fun time!

Last but not least, here’s what I watched this week on Netflix:

Abducted in Plain Sight- oh my word, this was good but awful at the same time. I feel bad for this girl that was tricked and taken twice but the parents are for sure to blame. Just watch it and you’ll see what I mean!

The Ted Bundy Tapes- also a fascinating way to recount the history of Ted Bundy and his slayings. A journalist actually taped him talking while in jail and they made this documentary. It was extremely interesting and I would recommend.

That’s it for this week but I would also recommend The Assassination of Gianni Versace. I watched this when it was on television and it is really really good. The actor Darren Criss actually won awards for the portrayal of Versace’s killer.

I hope you all have had a wonderful week so far!

Thanks for reading and following along with me!

  2. Dress in layers that you can remove, and always dress for weather that’s warmer than what the thermometer outside says. High waisted running leggings are the perfect option for cold weather.
