Outstanding October Style: Days 1-6

October is here and so is the newest style challenge from yours truly! I wanted to incorporate some fun days in with some fall themes and some inspired days as well so this challenge has something for everyone! 

Day 1- Ebony and Ivory- It wouldn't be my outfit in black and white without some patterns and color thrown in as well! I had an event for Dress for Success at night and didn't get a chance to get a "proper" picture taken. I've done this outfit before and still really like it!

I loved @kristy_tatum 's look for this day! Her coffee cup even matches! 


Day 2- I Love Olive- Olive is such a great fall color but I also wear it year round. For the fall, I like to pair a darker floral like this one with it or another dark color like navy or burgundy.

@the_emmalouise had a great look for this day! I love all of the pattern mixing too! 


Day 3- Celebrity-Inspired- I chose this simple and easy look from Reese Witherspoon because it is so cute and casual yet so functional. I really love the colors together as well!

@twiginpink looked so great for this day! I loved her celeb inspired outfit and she recreated it perfectly! 


Day 4- Owl Always Love You- I picked up this sweater over Labor Day weekend at Ann Taylor Factory store. I wanted a new one since my old one is listed in my Poshmark closet currently (shameless plug- sandaef14 is my name). Anyways, I love the look with the gingham and polka dots as well! This was a fun weekend look for sure!

I loved the owl look that @readwriteteachstyle put together for this day! I saw a couple of other people wearing it too but I loved the scarf with it!

@courtneywinn19 got it right with this beautiful floral scarf and her pattern mixing! Such a fun look! 


Day 6- Monochromatic Monday- I love this skirt and wanted an excuse to wear it again. This seemed like a perfect opportunity to wear it with a green top and have a whole different look!

@copycatla said she has waited forever to post this look- why wait? I would have worn this a long time ago! I love a good Barry Manilow tee with denim!

It’s a special edition of Travel Tuesday on a Thursday!   Ya’ll  need to get on board with going to Galveston! If you’re in the DFW area and you want to get to the beach, you can head south a few hours and get to Galveston easily! Less Bitter, More Glitter

The saying goes "Spread Kindness around like Glitter" -okay it is really "Spread Kindness around like Confetti", but why not glitter instead? Glitter can be messy, it can be hard to clean up and can be fun and colorful. Just like our lives. Just a friendly reminder that this time of year can especially be a hard time for people. Holidays are a time when a lot of people see their friends and family but sometimes people don’t have anyone. Or maybe there are some people who don’t have much money to get gifts. Or some are remembering those that are no longer with us here on earth. Regardless of how you do or do not celebrate, remember to throw kindness around freely! Less bitterm more glitter! It’s a great time to spread cheer but so is all year!   Show a smile to a stranger or pay for someone’s drink behind you in line. Write someone a note to tell them how much you appreciate them.
