One Dress, Three Ways

It seems like this time of year we are busy with holidays and shopping and I know I am personally guilty of shopping for myself too. So what if I looked deep into my closet and looked for ways that I could wear what I already have?

Spoiler alert: You might be seeing more posts like these in the future!

I decided to start with this very affordable ponte knit dress from Target. I have been loving Target lately! I think they have been having very cute things at affordable prices. Plus, I subscribe to mobile coupons as well as use the Cartwheel app on my phone! Oh and get a red card- I have the debit but it also comes in credit- and save an additional 5% on top of all of that!

So, they are making it easy and affordable to love them! Here's the dress by itself that is pictured on their website. I have also recently seen this in the clearance section of my Target:

What can I say? I love to layer! It's too cold here now to wear it alone. So here's three different ways that I wore this dress using items I already had in my closet.

Here's the dress with a gray jacket (remember my earlier post about my $5 Lands End jacket?), gray boots from DSW, a navy bag also from Target (clearance section-very Chanel-like!) and a scarf from LOFT:

Here's the dress layered with a denim shirt underneath from Old Navy, a mustard cardigan and belt from LOFT, crystal necklace from Groopdealz and another pair of dark brown boots from DSW:

The third look was a little different. I'm not going to lie, I thought this way was kind of creative and a great way to dress the dress up or down depending on your pieces. The bird sweater and bag are also from Target, the shoes are older from Kohls and the pearl necklace is from JCrew Factory:

Which look is your favorite? How else would you style this dress? I know I am able to think of a couple of more ways that I could make this dress go even farther. I'll be doing this with more of my pieces in the future to show you all that you can be stylish on a budget and make your pieces go farther!

  1. What a great post! My favorite is the one with the mustard cardigan. I have a soft spot for mustard yellow. I would style this dress on it's own with the chambray top layered under it. Great job!
