WhatUp Wednesday #80

Image
Hey friends! I can’t believe this is the third post I’ve written this week! I just have a lot of stuff I want to share!  This past Sunday I met up with a friend who I haven’t seen in a long time. We picked up carry out and sat out in lawn chairs and talked the afternoon away. It was so nice to catch up but it was nice just to see another person and have a conversation!  I wore this fun  maxi dress  from J Crew to meet my friend. I posted this a couple of weeks ago on my Instagram as an item I would buy- it was a steal! But it also is just a fun dress and fits perfectly!  I added some colorful accessories like a clutch, earrings and bracelets and just some casual shoes. I love all of the bright colors! I could also add a tennis shoes and a crossbody and it would be a different look. This dress would also be fun with a denim jacket. So many options!  You can shop the dress  here   You can shop the shoes  here You can shop the earrings  here   Bracelets and clutch are older So I thought I

New Atlantic Pacific Collection Try-Ons

Image
I have been following along for the past year or so all of the Atlantic Pacific by Halogen collections. If you’re not familiar with these, let me introduce you.  The fabulous  Blair Eadie  has been collaborating with  Nordstrom  on these collections and everything is just so exquisitely done! There are items I would wear and items I wouldn’t wear- just like every fashion designer has!  I have always loved the buttons and ruffles and tulle and just everything that these items are. They are feminine and fun! This time the  collection  was launched at 30% off right at the start. It made it much easier to afford some of the pieces and I bought a few and tried them on over on Instagram.  I didn’t want you to miss out if you didn’t catch my stories so I did take a still shot of each look and I will link the pieces here in the blog for you.  The first look is this  fun floral shirt dress .  I love the whimsical print and I love the whole design of this one. I think I could have sized down but

Shades of Blue and Green

Image
This post is sponsored by Full Beauty Brands.  Memorial Day has come and gone and it is the unofficial start of summer! One thing I love about summer in Michigan (and miss it when I’m not here!) is the water! Now the lakes here may not exactly be shades of blues and greens as much as an ocean, but nevertheless, there is still something to be said about being by the water.  Blue and green are calming colors. I love wearing these colors! I mean who am I kidding, I love all the colors! Blue is especially calming and I love green as it brings out the color in my eyes!  I picked out three looks from Ellos,  Roamans  and  Jessica London  to share with you all! They are shades of blue and green and remind me of a summer vacation!  The first look is this fun green  dress  from  Roamans .  I love the off the shoulder look and the ruffles! I love that this  dress  has pockets and the color is insanely gorgeous! It’s funny that this  dress  reminded me a little of an old timey look maybe like one

Sunday Style: Chasing The Rainbow

Image
Happy Sunday! It’s a rainy one here! I’ve been inside all day relaxing and napping and binge watching shows. Throw in cooking a couple of meals and let’s call it a productive day for me!  I went to  Windmill Island Gardens  in Holland last week to walk around and take a few photos. I had the perfect look in mind!  I saw this  Eloquii   romper  and immediately decided I needed to order it. I love all things rainbow and I love that  Eloquii  has sales and makes the items (even the new ones!) more affordable! I love showing you all new looks and this is such a fun one!  This  Eloquii   romper  has an attached dress to it! I love that it has the ease of shorts but has the back like a dress. I love the black and white floral of it but then the added rainbow at the bottom is the finishing touch!  You might notice I’m not wearing any shoes in these pictures. It was such a nice day so I took them off and enjoyed being barefoot in the grass.  I would wear a couple of different shoes with this i

Sunday Style: Mother’s Day Looks with Chic Soul

This post is sponsored by  Chic Soul   Happy Mother’s Day to all of you mothers out there! A lot of you know that my mom has been gone now for sixteen years. It gets easier every year but it’s still hard to think about people being happy and seeing their moms. This year is a little easier since we are quarantined with my dad and stepmom and we were able to celebrate together. We made burgers and fries and sangria and had ice cream cake and played games. It was a fantastic day of rest and relaxation!  You all know that I love partnering with  Chic Soul  and today is no exception! They are offering free shipping and a free pair of earrings with purchase! Use the code FREESHIP! Now let’s take a look at a few looks that I chose! The first look is this fun pink  romper ! I love this color and the fit on this one! I also love the back of this and the tie is so cute! Plus it has pockets!  I added tan sandals and some pink earrings to finish off this look. I also had to put my hair up in a pon
