Sunday Style: Going Green

Image
This post is sponsored by  Dress Barn   I am so excited to be working with a new partner this year!  Dress Barn  has been around forever and most of you probably remember the stores. I used to go into the stores and try on items. I remember there being a plus size side and a straight size side. The majority of the items were available in both. Now the stores have been closed and  Dress Barn  is an online shop with their own label clothing as well as carrying lots of other new labels. It’s like an online store where you can find so many things and styles in all sizes!  I found this beautiful green  dress  and this  necklace  and I fell in love! If you know me, then you know green is one of my favorite colors to wear! I love the way it makes my eyes look even greener and it goes beautifully with my skin tone.  I love the style of this  dress  which is tiered and ruffled and full of movement! It’s a shorter length which ...

Shades of Blue and Green

This post is sponsored by Full Beauty Brands.  Memorial Day has come and gone and it is the unofficial start of summer! One thing I love about summer in Michigan (and miss it when I’m not here!) is the water! Now the lakes here may not exactly be shades of blues and greens as much as an ocean, but nevertheless, there is still something to be said about being by the water.  Blue and green are calming colors. I love wearing these colors! I mean who am I kidding, I love all the colors! Blue is especially calming and I love green as it brings out the color in my eyes!  I picked out three looks from Ellos,  Roamans  and  Jessica London  to share with you all! They are shades of blue and green and remind me of a summer vacation!  The first look is this fun green  dress  from  Roamans .  I love the off the shoulder look and the ruffles! I love that this  dress  has pockets and the color is insanely gorgeous! It’s funny that ...

Going For The Green

Tuesday was St. Patrick’s Day- even if it didn’t feel like it! Parades were canceled and even the river in Chicago wasn’t dyed green. It’s hard to fathom exactly everything that is going on right now but this too shall pass. There will come an end to this madness at some point. I will continue to post for you all as I can and continue to show you all the cute outfits and looks that you can wear post-quarantine. The color green is actually my favorite color in the crayon box. I love all shades of it and I think I look good in it and it matches my eyes! (As if you all just asked me why, here’s my answer...)  Green is actually a mix of blue and yellow. You probably learned that in kindergarten but it’s the mix of those colors in the spectrum colored like grass or emeralds.  Green is usually associated with nature, renewal, life, freshness, safety, fertility and the environment. It can also be associated with greed, jealousy, ambition, and finance. Just like any color in the rainb...
