Confession: I've been saving these pictures for a few weeks...When my girl Lynsie and I meet up, we do several photo shoots and try to collaborate on our posts. We've both been super busy lately and haven't had the time to write a lot so we decided to finally get it done! Check hers out at  Similar Styles  and get more information on her look! Tassels have been all the rage for a while now and they're mostly popular in accessories. Earrings, necklaces, bracelets and bags are my favorites. I managed to find all kinds of fun tassels for this outfit!  Bright colors are my favorite but pair them with an amazing and fun backdrop? It's love!   So there you have it! Tassel Tuesday! Sunday Style: Wearing My Heart on My Sleeve

Literally. I'm wearing hearts on my sleeves. The snow is coming down outside so I am warm and cozy inside. I have been working around the house and taking some time to do a couple of DIY projects too.  I saw a sweater online with heart elbow patches and it was selling for quite a bit. Now if you have seen my pink sweater with gold glitter elbow patches, you know I love things like this on my elbows! However, I didn't think I would wear it a whole lot so I decided to try to make my own.  I was surprised at easy it was too! I purchased a square of red glitter felt from Michaels and bought some Heat Bond that can fuse two fabrics together. I used a heart cookie cutter to trace the shape on the felt and then cut it out. It was so easy that I don't know why I haven't tried it before! It will be perfect for Valentine's Day themed outfits but I also see myself wearing it more since now it has more visual interest to it!  Here are a few pictures of my DIY projec...

Sunday Style: Neon and Thrifty

Happy Sunday! I'm dying to show you all the outfit that I put together for today's Sunday Style! This last week I have been on vacation and I have enjoyed having time to do some things that I have been wanting to accomplish! One of the things I really wanted to do was take an afternoon to do some thrifting. We have a few stores in the area that I visit every once in a while, but usually it's just one here and there. I took the opportunity to visit three in one day and take my time browsing the racks.  I found this sundress with this beautiful flower pattern on it and it was love at first sight. I love the neon colors and the green and the flowers so I knew it needed to be mine. The dress is a tie-strap vintage sundress and it was made long before vanity sizing...so with no dressing rooms available to try it on, I decided I would chance it for $3.40.  I came home and tried it on and of course, it didn't fit.
