Sunday Style: Monet: The Late Years
Happy Sunday! If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I was able to attend the press preview of the new art exhibit, Monet: The Late Years at the Kimbell Art Museum this past Thursday. It was an amazing experience to see so many of this great artist’s painting up close! To see the detail in each stroke and think about how he worked up to his death painting each canvas was just breathtaking! They had wonderful refreshments for us before our tour with the deputy director and curator of the exhibit, Mr. George T.M. Shackelford. The director of the museum, Mr. Eric M. Lee, also said a few opening remarks prior to our tour. This exhibit is the bookend of the earlier exhibit at the museum titled Monet: The Early Years . This exhibit has art borrowed from all over the world so that there could be an amazing collection of fifty pieces of his later years work. Talk about stunning!
