Well friends, this is it. The last post of 2017! It feels like this past year has flown by! It was my first full year living in TX and experiencing a different way of life here in the Big D. I've loved meeting new people and making new friends and experiencing new sites and sounds and smells of Texas. I am looking forward to everything that 2018 will bring! For my last look of the year, I wanted to show a look that I got in my last Dia and Co box. I totally felt like a rock star when wearing this outfit! I think there is nothing better than looking and feeling like a million bucks! The jeans are from Rebel Wilson's collection and I cannot tell you how much I love them! So comfortable and stretchy and the silver stripes add such a fun element to them! I also love the hippie vibe of the bell sleeve on this top from Nanette Lepore. TGIF! I thought I would do something out of the ordinary for me and post on Friday! The other thing is that this is a really fun post as I am trying something new!  I was inspired by Dia&Co -this awesome clothing company that I love-can you say stylists do all the work?! Yes, please! Every Friday people from their office do a Try-Day Friday and try new styles or wear things they may have never worn before or maybe it's even something outside of their comfort zone. So I thought I would play along today too! How many times do you look in your closet and think (or say if you're like me!) "I have nothing to wear!" I have tons of clothes so that cannot really be the case. It might be that you are lacking creativity to try something new like mixing and matching what you already have. Pandemonium is an uproar or a wild and noisy disorder or confusion. Fandemonium is an uproar over this dress! The fans on this karinadresses  dress add pizazz to such a bright beautiful teal color. I know it's technically called Spring Daisy, but come on, I am fanning out over this dress for sure! I also love karinadresses because they are what I call, the "world's easiest dress". Not only are they so easy to pack and so comfortable but they always are easily dressed up or down.  This is the Ruby  style and one of the things I love about this one is the sash that is tied around and accentuates the waist. Sleeveless is perfect for the weather here but adding a cardigan or jacket still allows the beauty of this dress to shine. In today's post, I am wearing this dress two ways. Has anyone ever told you that you shouldn't wear something? Like maybe not a certain article of clothing even but maybe a style? Big girls shouldn't wear stripes. Big girls shouldn't wear strapless. Big girls shouldn't wear... The list goes on and on.  Why shouldn't you wear what you love? Why can't you wear what you want? I'm of the school of thought that it it fits properly, it will look great. Two people could have completely different body types and still wear the same item as long as it fits properly. If it's hanging off your body so loosely, it looks just as bad as if it's too tight. It's the fit that counts. I wish more people realized this!  I have big arms. I'm still going to wear strapless. You know why? Because I love the way it looks and feels. Get a good strapless bra and you're good to go.  I'm wide and I have big hips. I also love stripes. Get over it. I'm not tiny but that doesn't stop me from wearing a pattern...

You can wear white after Labor Day. Forget all of those ancient rules that you learned from your mom and grandma. I happen to think white is a beautiful color (or non-color which ever way you want to view it). White can be a color that symbolizes many things. Purity, safety, cleanliness. It's also considered to be the color of perfection. For me, it also represents a new beginning or wiping the slate clean.  White can be worn in its purest form or can be worn in various other shades like off white or cream. I'm not always a big fan of white but these white jeans from Royalty for Me  are so practical and can be worn in so many different ways.  Don't feel that you can only wear white jeans in the summer either! I'm wearing them in the dead of winter and I like it! The first look is with a long sleeve shirt, blanket scarf and boots. I then added a sweater and a clutch for more layering. It's Monday and last week I wore a lot of dresses so I thought I'd go a little more casual today. I'm wearing all older items but my son obliged me with taking more than one picture so that amounts into a blog post so I can share with all of you!  I love taking basic items and making them pop with a bright color or adding a fun clutch like this leopard one. This look is great for running around, a casual work environment or even going out at night. I'm so tired. How many times have you said that today? Today's post is more of a combination of a personal and an outfit post and of course I thought it only fitting that I took a picture inside of a tire to say that I am tired...cue rimshot... I have a lot going on right now in my life. While I don't want the world to know all about my personal business, I will say this, I'm tired. Some days I am just downright exhausted- not only physically, but mentally and even emotionally.  Why don't I sleep at night? Why do I fall asleep easily but then wake up in the middle of the night only to lie there and think and then toss and turn? I once read that when we wake up and can't go back to sleep, it's a good time to talk to God. We know He will be up and He will listen to us. I tried that last night and it worked. I decided to do a more casual post for today's Sunday Style featuring a fun look with denim. These Royalty For Me  jeans are everything! The cut and feel and fit of these jeans make me so happy! I chose the  WannaBettaButt  style and I am so happy with them! They are so soft and the skinny jean style is just perfect. I chose a dark wash because I love that they are polished and slimming and can be dressed up or down.  I decided to pair these jeans with a black ruffle sleeveless top I have had in my closet forever and some bright pink heels.
