Casual Monday

Image
It's Monday and last week I wore a lot of dresses so I thought I'd go a little more casual today. I'm wearing all older items but my son obliged me with taking more than one picture so that amounts into a blog post so I can share with all of you!  I love taking basic items and making them pop with a bright color or adding a fun clutch like this leopard one. This look is great for running around, a casual work environment or even going out at night. So many options!  Here's some pictures from this casual look today:  Tee- Banana Republic (last year) Jeans- Target (early this year) Pumps- Old Navy (last year) Clutch- Talbots (recent) Hope you all had a great Monday! Here's to a great week!  Thanks for reading and following along with me!  Sandae

I'm So Tired

Image
I'm so tired. How many times have you said that today? Today's post is more of a combination of a personal and an outfit post and of course I thought it only fitting that I took a picture inside of a tire to say that I am tired...cue rimshot... I have a lot going on right now in my life. While I don't want the world to know all about my personal business, I will say this, I'm tired. Some days I am just downright exhausted- not only physically, but mentally and even emotionally.  Why don't I sleep at night? Why do I fall asleep easily but then wake up in the middle of the night only to lie there and think and then toss and turn? I once read that when we wake up and can't go back to sleep, it's a good time to talk to God. We know He will be up and He will listen to us. I tried that last night and it worked. As I lie awake there in my bed, I brought forth my burdens and my cares and my concerns to Him. "Casting all your care upon him for he careth for

Sunday Style: Celebrate!

Image
Another day, another Shabby Apple dress. You know, no big deal. Just me and one of my best gal pals Lynsie waltzing around town in our fancy dresses and carrying balloons.  People stopped to stare, people stopped to wish us Happy Birthday. We didn't have the heart to tell them that we were just doing a photo shoot!  What am I celebrating? Another day that I get to live and enjoy this life is a reason for me to celebrate! Throw in some balloons and a fancy party dress and life gets even more fun and memorable.  Enjoy every little moment that we are given. Take pictures if you need to remember or just close your eyes and put them in your memory bank for later like I sometimes do. Whatever your method, cherish the memories and continue your own celebration of life. I had the best time this week and plan to continue to celebrate.  Now here's some pictures of this fantastic dress from Shabby Apple:  Dress: Shabby App

Totally Talbots for Fall

Image
I absolutely love getting opportunities to work with brands that I love and have worn for years. Collaborating with Talbots was no different. I was asked to review the new Style Guide that was put together with September new releases for the Talbots Womens line. I reviewed the guide and then went to the store to put together some looks of my own.  I am a big stripes person-I especially love tops and sweaters with stripes, not to mention the occasional dress. This dress caught my eye when I walked in the door and I was anxious to try it on. One of the things that I love about it is the versatility. It's a classic piece when worn by itself but it can also be dressed down and made casual different ways. Here are a couple of different looks I came up with: The second look I put together was more casual and building around these gorgeous olive  riding pants . I chose to mix patterns and paired a striped tee with a  paisley scarf and riding boots. Let's not forget about thi

Sunday Style: Pure Jeanius

I decided to do a more casual post for today's Sunday Style featuring a fun look with denim. These Royalty For Me  jeans are everything! The cut and feel and fit of these jeans make me so happy! I chose the  WannaBettaButt  style and I am so happy with them! They are so soft and the skinny jean style is just perfect. I chose a dark wash because I love that they are polished and slimming and can be dressed up or down.  I decided to pair these jeans with a black ruffle sleeveless top I have had in my closet forever and some bright pink heels. What do you all think of this look for a fun night out?  Ruffle blouse- JC Penney (old) Jeans- Royalty For Me (online recent) Heels- Old Navy (old) Sequin Bag- Kate Spade (old) Earrings- Groopdealz (old) Hope you all are enjoying this wonderful long weekend!  Thanks for reading and following along with me!  Sandae
