Curvy Girl on the Run

I thought I'd focus on some fun holiday outfits for the next few weeks. You know, something that you can wear out to the work holiday party or that friend's get-together or maybe even the Christmas Eve service at church.  For today's look, I decided to find something in my closet that I could take from day to night. Let's say you had to work but we're going out afterwards and wouldn't have time to change. I think pink is such a fun color and can really look great at the holidays too! I took this short sleeve dress that I actually wore for Easter this year and put a fun tweed moto jacket over top. I am wearing some polka dot tights that I got last year and some black booties from the Altuzarra for Target line. I think this is a great look to wear to work and requires very little to make it look great for a holiday gathering after work.  For the night look, take off the stuffy tweed jacket and you're ready for some fun! It's been a while since I did a post on wearing something multiple ways. It fits well with the theme of the no shopping or limited shopping that I have been doing lately.  I ventured out on July 4th to go shopping and went into Nordstrom Rack. I don't usually find a lot of things there but when I do, they are always so good! Think Kate Spade clutch, Kate Spade pink bag, this dress, etc. So anyways, I have been working on not buying everything I set my sights on but I saw this dress and knew that it would be a staple in my closet. I also knew that it would make a wonderful example of how to buy something and wear it more than one way to make the most of your money.  This dress was on clearance for $29 with an additional 25% off so it was a no-brainer when I tried it on. It's a flattering cut and fit so I went ahead and bought it.
