Curvy Girl on the Run

Hey friends! It’s that time again! I am loving the summer but not the heat we have been getting. I don’t know about you all but it seems like it got hotter a lot earlier here in TX. I feel like we are having temps that normally come around later in August! Such is life I suppose! This past week I actually did a few things so that was super fun. I will write about the restaurants that I visited below. I will also recap the outfits from this past week. I haven’t really been watching any new shows since The Handmaid’s Tale on Hulu ended- I am just looking forward to the next season of it. I really hope Serena rises up against her husband-maybe with some handmaids or Marthas. But alas I am watching The Office again on Netflix and laughing my way through the week. So this past week I was able to try two new restaurants and I found a new show on Hulu to watch. Its been an exciting week of job applications and sitting alone in my area at work since a lot of people are either gone already or don’t come into work every day. It is so sad to see the parking lot so empty- even the parking garage still has spots if you come in late in the morning! Such is the saga that continues as the mortgage business winds down… Here is my outfit for today and the ones from this past week. I have been loving the 2017 Elegant Collection from Lularoe! We try to make it Everyday Elegant by pairing it with pieces we already have or pieces that are not too dressy. I love to show how versatile all of the items are!    I discovered The Handmaid’s Tale on Hulu this past week and I am kind of addicted to watching it since I need to find out what happens to certain characters in the show. It earned Golden Globes but I hadn’t seen it yet ...

It’s Wednesday again so time to tell you all about what’s been happening! Today was another job fair at work. Yes, I am still displaced and yes, time is running out for me to find another job. Keep me in your thoughts or prayers or whatever you do that I will find the right job fit for me. February 5 th will be my official last day here at Capital One and then on to bigger and better things (I hope!). I have recently started applying to more positions since I figured it is after the new year and now things will hopefully be picking up in the job market realm. After the job fair, we went to a fantastic lunch buffet at Blue Mesa  , one of our favorite spots. The food was so good and we all ate our money's worth for sure!   I haven’t written in the last couple of weeks on Wednesday because I have been busy and this past week not feeling so well. I ended up having to get a breathing treatment for my asthma that keeps flaring up. I know it’s bad if my stepmom says she hasn’t seen a post lately…so here we go! Over the last couple of weeks, I have eaten at a couple of new restaurants, read a book, went to the movies and have a lot of outfits to catch you all up on! I am going to start with this look today- I call it “I like big bows and I cannot lie”. If you follow me on Instagram, I shared some pieces with you all last week from SheIn - this sweater was one of them. Sadly the other two pieces ran a little smaller- sizing is sometimes an issue since the pieces all have a variety of fits.
