Sunday Style: Casual Blues

Image
Soccer season is in full force which means my weekends and two week nights are filled with fun- oh and plenty of casual clothes. Today was another game so no dressing up for church but I did want to share a fun look that I wore- prior to the game, of course.  You won't have the blues wearing this outfit- especially not these shoes! I paired this pale blue jacket with a faded pair of distressed jeans and added these shoes for more interest. A graphic tee makes the outfit more casual and a sparkler statement necklace and bangles complete the look. Such a fun outfit today!  Here are some pictures of today's look: Jacket- Kohl's (earlier this year) Shirt- J Crew (last year) Jeans- Target (recent) Shoes- Nine West (earlier this year) Necklace- Groopdealz (old) Hope you all have had a great weekend! Thanks for reading and following along with me!  Sandae

Spring 2015 Trend: The White Shirt

Image
Today's post is exciting because I am collaborating with three other ladies and talking about a fun Spring trend- the white shirt. I've teamed up with Janeane from Designing From My Close t, Amy from Full Figured and Fashionable  and Nina from  Curvy Mod . The white shirt is basic but combined with other articles of clothing and accessories, it's anything but basic! I love the way that all of us took this one wardrobe staple and made it into a totally different look!   Janeane wore hers with some cropped pants and lace up sandals and a clutch. Her look is comfortable and casual yet easily a dressed up look for day or night.  Amy wore hers with a cardigan and skirt. This is another look that could be worn for work or play. I love the coral and the pop of green in the necklace!  Nina's look is super cute with the bow tie and the patterned pants. Her look is another great example of how a white shirt doesn't necessarily mean business- it's for

What I Wore: April 2015 Part One

I decided it was becoming time consuming to post my pictures and write about outfits every week. Today is April 21 and I am just now recapping the first half of the month so I know I am behind!  I thought this way I could recap some or all of the outfits if I really wanted to but do it in my own time making it easier for me.  Here are some of the highlights for the first half of April: I spent almost a week in Grand Rapids so I had some fun background pics during the first half of the month!  Here's the breakdown:  I love this denim jacket and you'll see a lot of it this Spring! I paired it this day with my LuLaRoe Cassie pencil skirt and some fun striped wedges for added interest to this outfit.  This day, my son and I went to the Grand Rapids Art Museum (GRAM). I wanted something casual yet classy and I felt great wearing this outfit around town.  I worked in the office for this day so I had some fun with color blocking and wearing bright

Style Spotlight: Seeing the World Differently

Image
Today's post is all about one of my new favorite companies called Firmoo Global Optical. I'm excited to review my experience with all of you! Spoiler alert: I'll be sharing a coupon code at the end of this post for you to try your own! I was excited when I was asked to try these glasses out from Firmoo ! Even though I was initially apprehensive about the whole ordering glasses online, I ended up being so pleased with the results!  I first chose red frames because I liked the color and thought they would be a good addition to my brown ones. I then took my prescription from my eye doctor and entered that. I did have to measure a little bit but it was super easy when I looked in the mirror to do it.  The end results: seeing the world differently! Check out this shot by the Blue Bridge in Grand Rapids, Michigan!  I am loving these frames!  Thanks to Firmoo, I am also giving away five $15 vouchers towards your purchase at Firmoo! Use the code "CU

Sunday Style: Spring Fling

Image
Who else is ready for Spring besides me? The snow has melted (finally!) and the birds are chirping in the mornings. Time change has come and gone and let's be honest, it was a pain and it threw me off that whole week, but it means that Spring is here and that means warmer weather for us!  For today's Sunday Style post, I thought it would be fun to have a fling with spring. Brighter colors and florals and some pattern mixing is a sure way of cheering all of us up and getting us ready for the rain showers, flowers blooming and grass turning green.  Here are a few pics from today's Sunday Style look: Tee- J Crew (recent) Skirt- Mindy Maes Market (online) Heels- Loft (last year) Clutch- Express (last year) Bangles- Jet Chic Arm Candy (online) Hope you've all had a wonderful weekend!  Sandae
