March 2015 Book Club Selection

It's here! The next book that is on tap for our book club! Courtney picked this one and I'm excited to read it! I've got a trip out of town next week so I'm looking forward to some quiet time and reading. I just got it in the mail but it is available at some libraries. I purchased it from Target online but I know that Amazon and Barnes and Noble also carry it.  I don't know a lot about this book but I do know a movie was made about it. I have read mixed reviews so I am looking forward to reading it and reviewing it on my own.  Switching gears: did you read last month's book "The Summer Kitchen"? What did you think about it? I thought it was a good book and I loved the volunteer work and the story that went along with it. I also liked that it was told from two points of view. February 2015 Book Club Selection

I'm going to share our book club selection for February and recap a little from last month's choice in this post.  We are reading The Summer Kitchen by Lisa Wingate this month- depending on which edition you get, the cover could look like this or a different one but make sure that you choose the right author. Believe it or not, there is another book by the same title but a different author. It can be found in the library or online.  This month is Rebekah's choice. I hope she doesn't mind because I will tell you how she happened upon this month's selection. Our book last month was called The Kitchen House (I will talk about that in a minute) but Rebekah picked up this book instead. We were sitting there after dinner starting to discuss the book when she mentioned something about horses or whatever that just didn't seem to make sense.
