Sunday Style: I’ve Got the Blues

Image
This post is paid for by  Lane Bryant . Hi friends! It’s another Sunday Style post! Today’s post is all about casual looks featuring this amazing pair of flare leg jeans from  Lane Bryant !  Blue is such a calming color and these looks are perfect for a casual outing or date night! I certainly don’t have the blues, I’m just having fun wearing them!  While I usually feature a lot of dresses and skirts, I do love wearing denim that fits and is stylish. I have been wearing more of a skinny leg or straight leg recently so when I saw these  bootcut jeans , I was excited to try them!  I think the key to building any outfit is to pick a foundation piece first and these  jeans  are definitely it! Add a top, boots and some accessories and your  look is complete! It’s really a simple formula!  I think this first look is a good casual one with this  knit relaxed top  and boots. I also added the  blue earrings  for even more blue...

Style Spotlight: Universal Standard

Image
I was recently introduced to the brand, Universal Standard . I actually had not heard of them prior to doing this collaboration. I did some research on the brand as I do on all brands before I choose to represent them on my blog and Instagram. There are many brands out there that make promises about their clothing-whether it’s the fit or the feeling-but many times I find I am let down.                                    Top and jeans - Universal Standard This brand did not disappoint. From the minute I opened the package to putting on the clothes to wearing them all day-the feeling and the fit didn’t change. I was impressed when I opened the package and found the wrapped box-it was like I got a present! The top is so soft and the jeans have a great amount of stretch to them but not too much! I love the little de...

Bright Colors

Image
I love wearing bright colors so, of course, for today’s Style Me February challenge, colors that make my eyes pop, I went for the brights.   I just happen to be wearing the brights on my legs though today.   Coincidentally, black and blues also make my eyes pop since I have hazel eyes and can wear a lot of colors! Yellow pants! It’s a risk to wear yellow pants, I think, but yellow makes me happy.   Yellow makes me happy while doing my mundane tasks at work and doing my regular work around the house. Yellow is one of those colors that restaurants use to make their patrons happy so they order more food and drinks too! If you look at advertising, you may also see a lot of yellow since it is a bright color and commands attention. These yellow pants from Lands End are so versatile! These happen to be more ankle length, but since its cold, I am able to wear boots over them.   I love that they are ankle, because when it warms up a bit, I will be able to wear flats w...

Falling for Fall Florals

Image
I love fall and all of the brilliant colors! I love the way the trees are turning from green into the bright yellows, reds, and oranges. Because I like bright colors, I was drawn to this beautiful bright aqua printed pleated blouse from J Crew Factory during their recent 50% off sale. I wanted to show a couple of different looks so you can dress it up or down and get your money's worth. I had meetings earlier in the day and wanted to dress it up but then came home and got more casual. Notice in both looks I am carrying my Phillip Lim for Target bags!  Here's the dressier or more professional look wearing this Old Navy leather trimmed zipped cardigan, tweed skirt, and heels: Here's the more casual look wearing oxblood jeans and booties: How else would you wear this top?  Thanks for reading and following along!  Sandae
