Happy Sunday! A few weeks ago I went to the  Dallas Arboretum  and saw the pumpkin village! This year it’s called Art of the Pumpkin and it runs through Nov 1. We had such a fun time being able to attend during the media day. We were able to walk around and tour without the usual crowds and it was so nice!  I took a couple of outfits with me and I realized I never shared this  dress  from  Eloquii ! It’s really one of my faves! It’s a fun maxi  dress  with ruffles and puffed sleeves. What’s not to love?! I added long black boots and a floppy hat to complete this fall look and I love it!  Okay so the last one is without the hat but I like it better with it!  You can shop my dress  here   Well that’s it for today, friends! Is there anything more fun than putting on a beautiful maxi dress and taking it for a twirl? I love this navy dress that I got from  Fashionnova . I was so surprised at the quality of this dress for such a low price!  I put up my hair and threw on some heels and took it for a spin over in  Legacy West  in Plano. I love that my friend and photographer Sarah was up for some pictures before dinner! Even though it was so hot out!  Here are a few pics for you:  Notice I’m holding this dress up? That’s because of the length! For reference, I’m 5’4” and it would drag on the floor if I didn’t pick it up! Hey friends! I can’t believe this is the third post I’ve written this week! I just have a lot of stuff I want to share!  This past Sunday I met up with a friend who I haven’t seen in a long time. We picked up carry out and sat out in lawn chairs and talked the afternoon away. It was so nice to catch up but it was nice just to see another person and have a conversation!  I wore this fun  maxi dress  from J Crew to meet my friend. I posted this a couple of weeks ago on my Instagram as an item I would buy- it was a steal! But it also is just a fun dress and fits perfectly!  I added some colorful accessories like a clutch, earrings and bracelets and just some casual shoes. I love all of the bright colors! I could also add a tennis shoes and a crossbody and it would be a different look. This dress would also be fun with a denim jacket. It's officially the beginning of Spring. Time change has come and gone. We lost an hour of sleep and gained an hour of sunshine. It's making it easier for me to get out and take walks and listen to music. It's more time to do things outside like clean out your car and go to the openings of ice cream stores.  It happens every year though that Winter rears its ugly head and brings snow storms and cold temperatures. We enjoyed temps in the 60's and now it's dipping back down. Spring, is that you?  It will be here in full force before we know it. Tulips, my favorite flowers, will be everywhere and the birds are already chirping. Another thing about my favorite season is the clothes! We're able to dress in fewer layers and wear cute shoes! Today's Sunday Style is about getting more out of your clothing. I used to wear something only one way and then have to wait for a different season or event or whatever to wear it again. Coincidentally, today's Jumpin' July Style challenge was a maxi so naturally I thought I would give some tips on styling a maxi different ways.  While today was hot and sunny here in Michigan, it isn't going to be the case later this week. One day they are calling for a high of only 70 degrees. It got me thinking that I need to look into wearing some of my summer clothing into fall if it's going to be like this!  I'm starting with a maxi that I purchased from Loft earlier in the spring. I loved it because of the color and pattern but also the style of the dress. Just like any other type of dress, I like a maxi to also have some of the same characteristics that I love in a good dress. Today's Marvelous May Style challenge is Mother Knows Best. I only titled it this day because I'm sure that our mothers have all given us some advice somewhere along the line. Maybe it was related to fashion or maybe not. I don't think mine gave me much advice relating to fashion. In life though, she always said be yourself.  For today's outfit, I am definitely being myself! Wearing bright colors and favorite sandals, today's outfit is about function and fashion. I chose this Land's End dress today because the weather is pleasant and I knew we would be out and about today. It's definitely comfortable to be running around in!  I love the colors in this dress- orange and turquoise are two of my favorite colors! I copied the model in the catalog and mixed two beaded necklaces together that I had.
