WhatUp Wednesday #7

Image
Yay! Today is Wednesday! I had a lot of fun this past week. I did stuff I haven’t done before here in DFW and I had friends visiting so it was even better! During the summer I have decided that I should try to do at least one thing per week and I far exceeded this week. If you read my blog post yesterday, you saw that I went to the Globe Life Park where the Texas Rangers play and took a tour of the stadium. If you didn’t read the post, shame on you! No really though, check it out! PSA- click on the bloglovin’ link and follow my blog and it will come straight to your inbox as well. Anyways, you should check it out- it was a fun time and it was so cool to see everything behind the scenes. We did another tour that started in downtown Dallas and took us around the city as well as historic events surrounding JFK and his assassination. We did this with City Tours and it was a bus tour (bonus: air conditioning!) and we stopped a few places for photo ops. One stop was the house w

All About That Base

I had some friends in town this past weekend and they had some things on their list that they wanted to do. One of them was take a tour of the Rangers Stadium in Arlington, TX. It is actually called the Globe Life Park but it is where the Rangers play baseball. I loved the look and feel of the stadium as it was modeled after the old Tiger Stadium, Yankee Stadium, and Fenway Park. However, it has many features all its own. I especially liked the old-time feel of the stadium with the dark green steel beams and rafters and I liked the way the suites were all named after Hall of Fame baseball players. There were sepia pictures of the former players in the stadium and the flags were all held up with baseball pats. It was definitely a cool thing to experience. Seeing all the stadium behind the scenes makes me feel like I am special and that I have seen secretive parts of the stadium that most will not. We went into the press box, the suite owned by the City of Arlington, the play

WhatUp Wednesday #6

Well, first things first. I am sorry I didn't write last week. With the holiday and everything else going on, it was just hard to write on Wednesday. I really don't think I had a lot to write about either. It was just a normal week with not a lot going on. Today I have a lot to write about! There's this fun dress from eshakti that I want to share with you all. I posted a pic on Instagram last week promising to write about it soon. I love eshakti because you can customize your clothing items. I have bought several dresses from there and I have been absolutely delighted with every dress that I have gotten. The dresses all have pockets which you all know I love but I also like that I can put in my measurements and have the dress made to fit just me! They also have a lot of beautiful unique patterns and they have tons of conservative styles that I love.  Here's some pics of this fun sundress:       I went to see a couple of movies this past week. I saw T

Sunday Style: Floral Fantasy

It’s not every day that you wear a dress and feel special-it should be, but that’s not always the case. This dress is truly a fantasy come true. The style of this Karinadresses is magical-it gives me such a good waistline and accentuates the curves of my body. The print is also perfect. A floral is my favorite but this one is special. A large floral print that is splashed on a black background gives the perfect detail to an otherwise perfect little black dress. As with all of karinadresses dresses, they can be dressed up or down. I chose to wear lace up sandals with this one today but I could also see it worn with booties and a sweater for fall. Comfort is key in this Tea Garden Carolyn dress and it’s light enough for the hot weather that we have going on here as well as across a lot of the US. Best part? karinadresses are on sale through July 4! Take an extra 25% off using the code MADEINTHEUSA.  Shop through the link on the side of the blog and choose any new dress for 25
