Holy Chic: Fabulous and Forty

Well, I don’t know how I made it to forty. Not because I do anything to harm myself like skydiving or walk on train tracks, you know, but because I didn’t think when I was younger that I would EVER be forty! Forty was so old! My parents were forty! My teacher was forty! My boss was forty and he had gray hair! Fast forward and the day is here. I have seen a lot in my lifetime. I have lived in many states, worked and gone to school with many people, made friends, lost loved ones, married and had a baby- the list goes on. If I sound like I am waxing nostalgic, it’s because I am. I guess I thought my life might be different by this time. Then again, I couldn’t imagine my life any differently. I have been through some “firsts” and “lasts” and some “I hope I never have to do that agains”. I have been uncomfortable in my own skin and I have learned to be comfortable in who I really am.
