Dressed In Black

Image
In today's post I am wearing this amazing dress from  Fashion Nova Curve   I have to admit that I have never tried a dress like this before but I kind of love it!  I love the way this dress hugs my curves and I love the peekaboo strips in this dress! This dress is called the  Side to Side dress  and you can use my code ONTHERUN for a discount!  As I was taking pictures today, it reminded me of the song Dressed In Black by Sia. I didn't know this song until someone I used to know shared it with me. I still remember driving around listening to him sing it. I remember downloading it after that and now I am always reminded of a time when life was good and fun and easy.  I love this song because she talks about how she basically is getting a second chance at life and at love. Some people think her feelings come from being sober and having a sponsor while others equate it to love. I am a hopeless romantic at heart so I equate it to love....

Sunday Style: Black

Last year I started doing a series with colors. I haven"t been posting these for a while. I don't know why, I just haven't. For those of you who are new to this blog or haven't read this series, it is usually talking about a specific color and what it means and/or the significance or importance of this color in my life. Today's post will be no exception although I will focus a little on recent events going on around us as well. I only have two pictures to share of today's outfit, but I'd like the post to be the focal point today. So here goes...Black. When I type in the word "black" in my browser, it gives me options about the color black but also black lives matter, black people unite, black panther, black mass, black widow spider etc. I'll focus on the color for a minute.  Black is the darkest color and is the result of the absence or complete absorption of light. It is literally a color without a hue. In Europe and North America it is t...

Blush and Black

Today's look is an oldie but goodie. I have had all of these pieces in my closet for a while now. For me, I prefer classic pieces to trendy for the most part so I can wear them for many years. I paired a fun tweed moto jackets with black jeans and a blush blouse.  Blush is such a fun neutral color. It matches so many other colors and patterns. I remember exactly where I was when I bought this blouse too which is also fun to wax nostalgic each time I wear it. The bow can be tied or untied for a different look each time.  The boots are great with jeans but I also wear these a lot with dresses too. The clutch adds a pop of color and pattern. I also added a couple of fun black metallic pieces of jewelry that I think match well with the colors and theme of this outfit.  Overall not a bad look for a Tuesday!  Jacket- Banana Republic (old) Blouse- Loft (old) Jeans- Royalty for Me (online 2015) Boots- DSW (old) Clutch- D...

Back in Black

I'm literally walking on a treadmill while writing this post. Talk about multitasking!  I'm back, baby! Well, back to the gym and back to feeling better and stronger since I've been doing so. Yoga a couple of times a week at least and continuing to walk every day- at least as often as I can.  See taking care of yourself pays off. It makes you feel better which makes you look better which attracts people to you. Positivity always wins. So I'm back and I'm back in black- well, in this dress at least... Here's some pics of this faux leather dress that I love so much:  Dress: Eloquii (online) Necklace- Purple Peridot (online) Shoes- DSW (last year) Clutch- Talbots (recent) Thanks for reading and following along with me!  Sandae
