Prepping for Fall in Paisley

It was so sunny and hot earlier this week when I took these pictures. It's hard to believe that this week will be September! Before you know it, fall will be here in all its glory. The leaves will begin to change and cooler temps will arrive. We will be trading in our cold beverages for hot ones and baseball for football. I'm not ready for it!

This dress has me thinking about fall- before long, I won't be wearing open toe shoes, I'll be wearing boots with it! Even though I'm not ready for fall to get here, I am loving the fall colors in this karinadresses dress! The paisley is perfect and the colors so rich and saturated.

I'm wearing the Mia style dress which is perfect for all body types. The tie can be worn in the back like I did or belted around your waist and tied at the side. I'm loving the wide sleeves and the material is so soft and silky! A home run in my book! Or I guess a touchdown since I'm talking about fall...

Here are a few pics of this gorgeous dress- hard to get a lot since it was also so windy that day:

Style Spotlight: Candied Cottons

Being a blogger has some pretty sweet benefits. One of them is meeting new people and making new friends in the process. Another benefit is finding new brands or new products and getting to introduce them to my readers and followers.

Today I'm talking about a sweet treat that stays with you- in the form of adorable handbags and accessories! Candied Cottons is owned by the beautiful Lindsey who I've worked with before. Her products are handmade and oh so cute! In every order is sweet candy treat too!

Today I'm wearing an olive dress that I found on the clearance rack at Walmart and carrying the Felicity Foldover in pink floral. I love how the bag is adjustable- I can use the strap and wear it as a crossbody bag or I can detach the strap and carry it as a clutch.

Inside is a zipper pocket that I use for my lipstick and compact and the bag is big enough to fit my wallet, keys and phone inside. It's perfect for running around doing errands!

I'd also take this bag and pair it with jeans and a tee or the floral material matches other colors- maybe a solid dress with dressy sandals? There are so many possibilities!

Here are a few pics of my outfit today- I'm showing the bag with and without the detachable strap:

Run and check out Candied Cottons today! Everything is handmade for you to purchase and you'll be so deliciously pleased with your purchase!

Sunday Style: Floral Frenzy

If you're a parent of a school age child like me, I'm sure you're in a frenzy. Getting ready for school to start and getting school supplies, clothing and haircuts- yes, I still am doing these and school starts in two weeks!

I've been busy with work this summer but it's been a good one. No need to be in a frenzy when I'm still enjoying the summer and all of its glory- including the fashions!

Something super trendy this year is the off the shoulder blouse and dress. I am loving this floral dress so much! It's so bright and airy and the floral pattern is so good! It's a shorter style than I normally wear but I love the design and the high-low hem is very flattering. Think it's too short for you? It is actually a top but I sized up to wear as a dress!

Here's some pictures of this floral beauty:

I chose to wear my bright neon pink sandals and carry a black clutch. It's okay to stare! I think it is anyways....but you could wear a metallic sandal or change the look with black as well- the sky's the limit!

Want this dress for yourself? It's from Nissy's Closet Tales and you can use the code FLOWERBOMB for 10% off this botanical off the shoulder dress. It's only good through 08/31/16 so hurry and get yours now!

Hope you all have had a wonderful weekend and are enjoying these last days of summer!
