Curvy Girl on the Run

Happy Sunday! A few weeks ago I went to the  Dallas Arboretum  and saw the pumpkin village! This year it’s called Art of the Pumpkin and it runs through Nov 1. We had such a fun time being able to attend during the media day. We were able to walk around and tour without the usual crowds and it was so nice!  I took a couple of outfits with me and I realized I never shared this  dress  from  Eloquii ! It’s really one of my faves! It’s a fun maxi  dress  with ruffles and puffed sleeves. What’s not to love?! I added long black boots and a floppy hat to complete this fall look and I love it!  Okay so the last one is without the hat but I like it better with it!  You can shop my dress  here   Well that’s it for today, friends! I love nothing more than the crisp fall air in the morning when the dew is on the grass and there is a fog in the air. In the afternoon, it gets warm and there is no sweater necessary. Oh wait, I live in TX now! If I can't have the fall air, I can still have all of the fall colors. This Margaret dress from karinadresses does it all for me! I am in love with the colors-the deep rich burgundy background and the florals on this are making it one of my favorite dresses. I love the shape of this style too-the V-neck and the tie in the front- everything is so good about this dress! Now where is the fall weather?  I chose to wear this dress with some vintage looking shoes that I have had for a while and pair some floral tights with them. I like the look of the floral and the floral. What do you all think? I think when it gets a little cooler I could also pair this with some booties and a leather jacket. So versatile! I love florals! I don't know about you all but I love flowers- fresh ones, in my house, on my clothing, you get it- floral is such a fun pattern!  People tend to think that florals are more for the spring and summer and don't always think to wear them in the cooler months. I happen to think there is nothing wrong with a good floral- you just have to wear it appropriately for the season. For fall and winter, I tend to look for a darker color and pattern so I would do the same with floral.  Take this dress that I bought from Old Navy last year. I waited until it went on sale and then it got too cold to wear it. If you remember last year's winter in Michigan was brutal! I thought today was the perfect time to wear it since it is cool but not freezing.  I paired it with a denim jacket and a pair of open toe nude shoes and a leopard clutch. I love a good pattern mix so the leopard just makes the outfit a little more interesting.  We found a beautiful spot ...
