Black and White with a Pop

Image
Black and white is classic. I love the colors together or separately. If you know me though, you know I'm more about color. I love basic colors like this but I like to let's say, snazz it up a little?!  I could have paired a regular solid top with this splash dance skirt  from Ollie Marie Boutique  but I decided to pair this lace one with it instead since it's one of my favorites. And black and white goes with black and white, right? But it needed something else so why not these adorable neon yellow pumps? This gave it the perfect pop of color that I was looking for!  Here's a few pictures of this fun look:  And if you love this skirt as much as I do (or Ollie Marie Boutique), use the code sandaemarch for 20% off your order! Sunday Style: Fuchsia

Image
It's been a little while since I have posted a Sunday Style post on the blog! I've been busy with life and just haven't been able to get to it. I hope this changes and I'm able to post much more! I've been talking colors on the blog in a few of my Sunday Style posts and I thought today I'd do another one and talk about one of my favorite colors, fuchsia.  Fuchsia is a variation of pink. When you mix other colors with pink, light or warm, they create new versions of the color. Fuchsia is a deep pink mixed with blue. I'm drawn to brighter colors but I love the meaning behind this one. Fuchsia is all about inspiring confidence and assurance and maturity, a more responsible and controlled nurturing and love. You are confident and not afraid to take action. Remember that the journey is often more important than the outcome.  I cannot love this any more. In my life, sometimes confidence is lacking. I'm going to start wearing brighter colors more oft

Is that you, Spring?

Image
It's officially the beginning of Spring. Time change has come and gone. We lost an hour of sleep and gained an hour of sunshine. It's making it easier for me to get out and take walks and listen to music. It's more time to do things outside like clean out your car and go to the openings of ice cream stores.  It happens every year though that Winter rears its ugly head and brings snow storms and cold temperatures. We enjoyed temps in the 60's and now it's dipping back down. Spring, is that you?  It will be here in full force before we know it. Tulips, my favorite flowers, will be everywhere and the birds are already chirping. Another thing about my favorite season is the clothes! We're able to dress in fewer layers and wear cute shoes! Enough of the snow boots already!  This maxi dress from karinadresses  had me all happy and ready for spring! I loved the temps were warm enough to share it alone but I think I'll be having to stick with a jacket ov

Style Spotlight: Ellis & Co.

Image
Today I am sharing a new favorite boutique with you all, Ellis & Co. ! I love supporting local boutiques and small businesses and this Gruver, Texas one is one that you all don't want to miss! I thought I would show you all two different looks so you could see the variety of products that  Ellis & Co.  has to offer. The first look is featuring this beautiful floral kimono  with a pair of jeans. I wore this out to dinner when I was in Grand Rapids visiting last week. Such a fun look! The second look is a fun  aztec print dress . I wore this to school to teach and topped it off with a jean jacket too. This dress is so comfortable! I love the fun print and when it gets a little warmer, I'll ditch the tights and pair it with some sandals! Make sure you all check out this online boutique and use the code "Curvy15" to get 15% off of your purchase. Happy shopping!  Thanks for reading and following along with me! Sandae
