WhatUp Wednesday #28

Hey friends! I hope you’ve all been having a great day! It’s that time again to share what I’m loving this week and anything new I’ve been up to!

So it’s been raining here the last couple of days and since I was off yesterday, I did some light cleaning around the house and watched a lot of Friends on Netflix. Speaking of shows, did you all see the new rebooted Roseanne ? I put it on the DVR and watched it today. I’m not sure what I think of it yet. I enjoyed seeing all of the old cast and hearing what they’ve been up to. I did notice that there were a lot of political jokes and while I wasn’t entirely sure if I liked all of them, I can only imagine there is a possibility that is actually what takes place in some families’ homes. Roseanne is on Tuesday nights on ABC.

I’m kind of sad that a couple of shows I really enjoyed are over. One is The Assasination of Gianni Versace on FX and the other is the podcast Atlanta Monster . I’ve talked about both here on the blog and I fully enjoyed watching and listening to both. I made a point to visit the former mansion of Versace when I was in Miami on vacation just to see the outside of where he lived. It is now an ultra expensive hotel and they would not even allow people on the steps to take a picture. I would have loved to visit the inside and see what the whole place looked like!

Atlanta Monster is over. I’m not sure if I think Wayne Williams was indeed the only killer or not. I definitely think he was shady and I don’t know who he actually killed, if anyone. A lot of the evidence was circumstantial and he did seem to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I don’t think we’ll ever really know who the killer of those innocent babies actually was. I hope that this podcast did bring some publicity to this old closed case and they get more leads.

I finished a book that I read for the second time called The Rosie Project . I actually like this book for its true representation of dating when you’re older and trying to find the perfect partner. In the end, you may actually let down your guard and let someone in your life who may not have had all the right qualifications in the beginning. I think it’s such a fun book and it’s an easy read.

In the world of fashion, here’s my look for today:

I’ll admit that I haven’t been doing much lately. Coming back from vacation, I got sick so I’m slowly getting over that. Here are the looks that you might have missed this week on Instagram:

Last week I was able to go out with a friend and try a new restaurant called Pie 314  It was a nice evening so we sat outside and ate at picnic tables under the lights. It was Wednesday and wines were 1/2 off so we were two happy ladies! The goat cheese fondue was the best I have ever tasted and was even better than the Black and Bleu pizza that I got. The waitstaff was friendly and the ambience was cool. I’d definitely go back here to eat again!

The last thing I want to share with you all is a newsletter from Dia&Co called The Fashion Fwd . This is a newsletter by Dia that shares all sorts of information with the Dia community. You do not have to subscribe to getting a box just to subscribe to the newsletter. I do not get a box very often yet I love to read the articles they include! Click here to read and subscribe! I’d love for you all to check it out!!

Thanks for reading and following along with me! Have a fantastic rest of your week!
