WhatUp Wednesday #87

Happy Wednesday! Mid-week of a holiday week always throws people off! We started back to in-person school yesterday and it feels a little bit back to normal (as much as it can be right now).

I hope you took some time to read my latest post about my adventure in Paris! If you didn’t, you can read it here. This week was my birthday and I have had so much fun! From the trip to Paris over the weekend to fun with friends, it’s been a week! I’ll be sharing my birthday look and activities on the blog post this Sunday!

For today’s look, I’m sharing this fun little floral sleeveless wrap dress from Eloquii. I wrote about using their Eloquii Unlimited service last month and this was one of the dresses in the box! Full transparency that I did send back everything in the box and I decided to cancel the membership. I personally didn’t find it beneficial since the pants I really wanted were sent to me in the wrong size and then they were all gone in the right size. I also didn’t see a lot to choose from that I wanted to try. To be honest, Eloquii does have really good sales so I would rather just wait for an item that I want to go on sale and purchase it new rather than used.

Anyways, it’s a fun little dress and I took a few pics of this look, so enjoy!

You can shop the dress here. It’s on a great sale today too!

Well I’ve written in my recent Sunday article about teal looks from Chic Soul, you can read it here, and the looks from Paris which you can read here. Other than that, I really don’t have a lot of other looks to share! I do have two - one is a look that’s easy to transition to fall and the other is this little black dress!

Top and skirt is from Christopher and Banks- I don’t know about you, but I’ll be wearing white way past Labor Day!

This dress is from Fashionnova Curve and is perfect for a night out!

So I did one more thing this past week that was a first for me: acupuncture! I took some pics but I will tell you I was so surprised at how it was!

I visited Modern Acupuncture in Plano and was greeted by a Zen Advisor. She checked me in and made me feel comfortable while I waited. She asked me if I’d like tea to be ready when I was done with my treatment and I said yes. I walked back into the room and it was dimly lit and I took my seat in the chair. The doctor came over and greeted me and explained the process to me. She walked me through what she was doing and why she was placing the needles where she was. I then had the massage chair turned on with some massage and heat and I waited until she came back about twenty minutes later to check on me. I was very relaxed and my neck and head felt much better then when I went in! I think it’s some kind of voodoo magic but I love it!

I went back in a second time two days later and my experience was different. There was a different doctor and she didn’t explain as much but I’ll tell you, she put in the needles and I just relaxed and fell asleep. It was such a great feeling!

I took some pics and if you’re in the DFW area, you can get your first session for only $29 at Modern Acupuncture

No, the needles don’t hurt! That’s the question I’ve been asked the most and the answer is no! It feels like a little prick in some locations but overall there is no pain. I’d definitely encourage you to give it a try if you’re having any pain or discomfort.

Well I’m still reading the book from last week. I got busy with work and stuff and haven’t gotten a chance to finish it but I’ll let you know as soon as I do!

On Netflix, I’ve watched Skin Wars which is a super cool show about body painting! I’d recommend it if you enjoy art! It’s amazing how talented these people are!

On Hulu, I just watched the movie Where’d You Go Bernadette which is based on the book by the same name. I loved the book and have read it a couple of times! I really liked the movie but the book is way better!

That’s about it for this week!

Thanks for reading and following along with me!
