Wedding Wear: Spotlight on Eva Mendes for New York and Company

I don't know about you all, but I don't normally have a lot of weddings to attend. I love getting dressed up and celebrating with the happy new couple. My husband and I put on our finest attire and get a sitter and attend a lovely service with a reception to follow. You all know the drill.

I can't tell you the last wedding that I attended before the two that I just did in October. Maybe it's because I love a good party but I wish more people were getting married so I could attend.  I digress...

Anyways, we were invited to two weddings two weekends in a row! Spectacular! But what to wear? I was looking for dresses and I wanted to wear two different ones since a) I would be seeing some of the same people b) one was daytime and one was nighttime and c) who doesn't want a new dress?

I saw the collection at New York and Company by Eva Mendes and immediately fell in love with her dresses! They were classic and feminine at reasonable prices. I purchased two different ones and feel that these will be in my closet for a long time to come!

The first wedding was a nighttime wedding and I wore this beautiful black brocade sleeveless dress:

It kinda reminds me a little of Breakfast at Tiffany's!

Here's a look at the details- Nine West bow heels, Groopdealz necklace, Kate Spade bag
Here's my favorite accessory:

The second wedding was my sister in law's wedding and was during the day. It was pretty chilly out and rainy but a beautiful fall wedding. This dress was also sleeveless but belted and polka-dotted. I felt like a fifties housewife in this one with my pearls! Here's a look at the second one:

I chose Nine Westnude patent bow pumps, a nude Apt 9handbag from Kohls, Lia Sophia bangle bracelets and JCrew Factory pearls. Here's a closer look:
Here's a not so great pic of me and my husband (poor lighting indoors for this one)
I was loving his look with the bow-tie!

So here's to all you that love weddings and dressing up as much as I do! Check out Eva Mendes collection in New York and Company stores and online. Cheers!

Thanks for reading and following along with me!
