Sunday Style: Blogger Style

Today's Style Me March challenge is "saw on a fashion blog". I have to admit that I don't read a ton of fashion blogs because I like to be original and create looks that everyone else isn't wearing. I also am not doing a lot of shopping this year and I don't want to be tempted to run out and buy everything that everyone else has.

That being said, I do like to read some blogs to get inspiration- similar to how I look at Pinterest or Instagram to get inspiration now and then. I think I tend to do this when I am feeling more uninspired- like now when winter just won't quit!

I also would like to credit different media outlets such as blogs and Instagram and Pinterest for said inspirations during these times. I have to say that I may not be as bold with things like pattern mixing if I had not seen so many other people doing it. I think the key really is to not copy someone all the time but to be an individual and dress uniquely and really have your own style. Style is all you- fashion is more trendy. It's okay to see something that someone else has and style it your own way. I think that's the biggest thing that I have learned since getting into style and fashion!

Well today's outfit is a little bit of everything. I have a busy day today so I need to keep it comfy and casual but cute. I'm wearing cobalt skinnies as I have seen so many other people wearing, a graphic tee and a leopard cardigan. I was originally inspired by leopard and cobalt by Target and I wrote one of my first blog posts about it. I also love that I have seen so many graphic tees being worn with everything from jeans to tulle skirts. They are so fun! This one i actually bought on the streets of New York which makes it fun and special to me.

To top it off, I am wearing a beautiful statement necklace which is something else that I have seen so much of in the last year especially! I'm wearing my black booties again and I wish I was wearing regular shoes with this but alas the temps today just didn't cooperate. I envision this in the future with a pair of neon yello heels- I think that would look even better!

Take a look at the pics for today:

So there you have it! Another outfit in the books. Look for inspiration everywhere you go- whether it be out and about or in cyberspace. Find a look you like and make it your own!

Enjoy your Sunday!

  1. I totally agree with you about having your own style. I have learned a ton on IG and Pinterest but I can't wear everything that everybody else does and that's OK with me! Great post!
