Style Me December: Week Four

Well, it's a new year! A new opportunity to start fresh, blank pages in your book. I'm writing this post to reflect back on the last part of December's style challenge while looking forward to the new year and new challenges that begin in January- more on that later!

Day 22 was Dashing in These Shoes. I had been visualizing this outfit for a while and thought it worked well for a holiday brunch with the family. We had a great time eating and visiting with Santa! I ordered this skirt back in the summer from Little Spud Boutique through Groopdealz. I really don't know why I waited this long to wear it! It is really fun and so comfortable! I paired it with this Loft sequin tee from last Christmas, the infamous gold glitter bow belt from Target and these cute Franco Sarto pumps from DSW.

Day 23 was Joyfully Thrifted. Nothing in this picture is thrifted, but I captured this on Instagram saying that while nothing is thrifted, I am incredibly thrifty while making my purchases! My favorite lady sweater from J Crew Factory paired with a polka dot shirt from Gap, skinny jeans and boots make this a fun and comfortable outfit. I also wore this beautiful necklace again from very Jane.

Day 24 was Christmas Eve and was also Jingle Bell Wrists. I had family over for dinner so I wore a festive bow sweater from J Crew Factory and some green jeans from TJ Maxx. I wore the cute bow shoes from Kohls, a necklace from Sassy Steals and the pave link bracelet from Target.

We also went to Christmas Eve service at church so I wore an Eva Mendes for New York and Company gold sequined dress. The necklace and earrings are from NY and Company as well. I found these Kate Spade look a like heels from Lauren Conrad at Kohls and thought they went perfectly. It was so cold but of course I had to pose outside!

Day 25 was Morning Pajamas. I don't know about you all, but I really don't feel comfortable posting pajama pics, so I opted to show you all the Christmas outfit that I wore for the day at my in-laws. I wish I could wear green, bows, and plaid all year! I found this skirt a while ago at Joe Fresh and paired it with a Loft cardigan, black sequin tee from Old Navy, glitter belt, bow shoes and a statement necklace. Such a fun day and such a fun, festive outfit!

Day 26 was White as Snow and guess what! It snowed here and I was sick in bed all day so no outfit post for this day.

Day 27 was Do the Polka Dot and I wanted to wear this cute white and black polka dot and jazz it up a bit. My husband bought me this new sweater from Loft for Christmas so I put that on over with some burgundy jeans and added some leopard for fun. This necklace is from J Crew and I am giving another one away to one of my lucky Instagram followers! Head on over there for more details and a chance to win!

Day 28 was Holly Berry Hues. We headed down to Ohio for our family Christmas and I thought this was a comfortable festive outfit to wear for the day. I love this Old Navy fair isle sweater and especially paired with the J Crew Tilda blouse underneath! My secret Santa from Instagram sent me this beautiful bracelet and I thought it matched perfectly!

Day 29 was Tis Time for Layers. I actually layer everyday almost in the winter since it is so cold here. This outfit is also from Old Navy and I purchased it on a Black Friday for 50% off! It's also another comfortable outfit for traveling home.

Day 30 was Plaid on Earth. Plaid has been a staple this year for me! I especially love these flannels from Old Navy. I like to brighten things up with a yellow sweater from Loft last year, comfortable jeans and booties and this tassel necklace from Purple Peridot.

For the last day, Day 31 was Joyful Joyful. I love to wear clothes that make me happy and I was out on a shopping mission before my no shopping challenge starts on Jan 1. I was pretty sure that I would be joyful as I went shopping in whatever outfit I wore! I wore my favorite sweater purchased from Loft this year, plaid shirt from J Crew Factory and some cobalt jeans.

So December's challenge is complete! For January, I will be participating in two challenges. One is though More Modern Modesty and is a challenge similar to this one. Every day there is a theme or an article of clothing to wear. I will also be participating in a no shopping challenge for at least one month. I am looking forward to organizing, posting items in my Poshmark closet (sandaef14) and taking care of me. I'll be sharing my New Years resolution in a post later this week.

Happy New Year! Thanks for reading and following along with me!
