Jumpin' July Style: Days 17-24

It's hard to believe July is almost over! This month's style challenge has been a lot of fun and I have already been looking ahead to fall. If you caught my Instagram post earlier in the week, you saw the super cute cross body bag that I picked up at Target this week. 

I'm not quite ready for boots and jeans and pumpkin spice lattes yet though so let's recap these great summer looks that happened over the course of this week. 

Day 17- Make A Statement- I love the punk floral print so much from J Crew that I wish I would have bought make! It goes with a lot of different colors so this day I wore it with a pink cardigan over it and leopard heels for extra fun. A great print and a great necklace definitely make a statement! 



I chose @kaitcopter to feature for this day. I love the punk floral skirt paired with a graphic tee- she surely is making a statement in this outfit! 
Day 18- Zebra Stripes and Leopard Spots- I didn't know if I would wear both together or not but sure enough, I did! I bought this dress from Target last year on sale with a coupon and Cartwheel and it was a steal. It was perfect for today's theme and I paired it with a leopard print belt and metallic heels for more visual interest. 

How about these fun flip flops that my friend Laura @fullyfashionable found? Too bad they weren't in her size but they fit in perfectly for today's theme! 


I chose to feature @thague611 for this day because I loved her look incorporating both stripes and leopard. So fun! 
Day 19- Girls Just Wanna Have Fun- I love this outfit- it might be my favorite! I love the tee with the bright colors and the sandals are my favorite! This outfit was perfect to wear over to my inlaws for dinner after a long day of cleaning and baking. 
I cannot stand the cuteness of my friend Cherry @cherryryan on this day. She always looks like she is living life to the fullest and having so much fun. Check out her Cyndi Lauper pose! 


 Day 20- Fancy Nancy- I didn't share an outfit on this day so I am featuring two that I liked! Ellen @ellenst4 always has the best picture collages featuring her daily outfits. She definitely is fancy in her outfit on this day! 
I also loved this look from @_prettyful_. I loved her pictures and her twirling in her maxi skirt. Definitely a Fancy Nancy on this day! 


Day 21- Hawaiian Tropic- I was going to wear a dress on this day and then decided to make the dress into a skirt instead. It was almost 90 degrees on this day so it was perfect for the warm weather! 
I love this outfit from @pamlyoung for this day's theme. What a beautiful print on this skirt! 
Day 22- Free Bird- Now this outfit was another favorite this week! I love this tee that I got at the Banana Republic outlet earlier in the year. It goes perfect (if you're counting pattern mixing and going perfectly) with the Anthropologie skirt that I got a few years ago. I loved the addition of the green heels too! 
Oh I am a sucker for birds, navy and pleats and @artofthecloset had all three in today's outfit! I am loving her bird skirt and it is so perfect for the challenge! 
Day 23- Colorful In Cobalt- I loved the antique floral print of this blouse and it was perfect to put with this bright blue blazer. I haven't worn this skirt in quite some time so I was happy the way I mixed this outfit up. 
@thesimplystyled got out the cobalt maxi skirt for this day's challenge. She says she hopes we don't get tired of it since she wants to wear it a lot. Why not? It's a great skirt for the summer and goes with a ton of stuff and is comfy. We hope you wear it even more! 
Day 24- Head Over Heels- I think I was definitely head over heels for this outfit! Another day, another floral but hey, I love floral! I thought I'd show this outfit a couple of different ways- one a little more dressy and one more casual. I think the seahorse cardigan was such a fun addition! 
I loved the look of @livinglifeindresses for this day. I love a great dress and pair of heels and what a great color!

It’s a special edition of Travel Tuesday on a Thursday!   Ya’ll  need to get on board with going to Galveston! If you’re in the DFW area and you want to get to the beach, you can head south a few hours and get to Galveston easily! Less Bitter, More Glitter

The saying goes "Spread Kindness around like Glitter" -okay it is really "Spread Kindness around like Confetti", but why not glitter instead? Glitter can be messy, it can be hard to clean up and can be fun and colorful. Just like our lives. Just a friendly reminder that this time of year can especially be a hard time for people. Holidays are a time when a lot of people see their friends and family but sometimes people don’t have anyone. Or maybe there are some people who don’t have much money to get gifts. Or some are remembering those that are no longer with us here on earth. Regardless of how you do or do not celebrate, remember to throw kindness around freely! Less bitterm more glitter! It’s a great time to spread cheer but so is all year!   Show a smile to a stranger or pay for someone’s drink behind you in line. Write someone a note to tell them how much you appreciate them.
