Sunday Style: Raleigh Style

My face hurts from laughing so much and I am pretty sure my mouth and throat hurt from talking. My cup overflows. 

You know when you meet people and then you talk but have never met them in real life? Today some of those people I actually got to meet and know better. But enough about that...

This will be a short Sunday Style post as I didn't get an opportunity to really take a lot of pictures. I'll be writing all about my weekend and the IG Meetup in Raleigh later this week but I wanted to share what I decided to wear today to brunch. 

My sweet friend Sacha took a few pics of me crossing the street because a real blogger walks in the street and takes pics, right?! It's not as easy as you think either...

I wore this great fit and flare dress from Gap with a black moto jacket over top. I made this appropriate for cold weather and wore tights and boots with it. Of course, I accessorized with pearls and my leopard clutch! 

I'm proud of myself since I only packed a carry-on bag and wore just what I brought!

It’s a special edition of Travel Tuesday on a Thursday!   Ya’ll  need to get on board with going to Galveston! If you’re in the DFW area and you want to get to the beach, you can head south a few hours and get to Galveston easily! Less Bitter, More Glitter

The saying goes "Spread Kindness around like Glitter" -okay it is really "Spread Kindness around like Confetti", but why not glitter instead? Glitter can be messy, it can be hard to clean up and can be fun and colorful. Just like our lives. Just a friendly reminder that this time of year can especially be a hard time for people. Holidays are a time when a lot of people see their friends and family but sometimes people don’t have anyone. Or maybe there are some people who don’t have much money to get gifts. Or some are remembering those that are no longer with us here on earth. Regardless of how you do or do not celebrate, remember to throw kindness around freely! Less bitterm more glitter! It’s a great time to spread cheer but so is all year!   Show a smile to a stranger or pay for someone’s drink behind you in line. Write someone a note to tell them how much you appreciate them.
