Sunday Style: DIY Outfit Planning

It's so cold out that I decided to forget about a regular Sunday post and share another fun and easy DIY I did today!

Outfit planning! Do you do it? Love it? Hate it? I'll admit that since I work from home, I am a little spoiled and can decide what to wear that morning or even throughout the day. There's no rush unless if I have to be somewhere or if I am going out of town.

I decided though to try outfit planning this week and I am super happy with the results and ready to get this week started!

I looked first at the days of the week and if I had anything special going on. Next, I looked at style challenges on Instagram to see if I wanted to participate at all. I decided I could wear something every day that fit into a challenge. Obstacle one! For me that's the hardest part is looking in the closet and seeing what goes with what or if I can participate.

I went through my closet and found outfits for the week. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be! I purchased a hanging rack at Bed Bath and Beyond for $20 and take 20% off of that.

Next, I found some paper, floral decorations and twine and made myself a tag for each day. It was relatively easy- just take a tag and write the day on it if you don't feel creative.

I love this rack because there's room to put shoes and purses on the bottom and it even expands! You'll see I also put a pair of heels on the top to remind me to wear sparkles that day!

I have a room downstairs that is my closet as well as a craft room. You'll see my painting called Rainy Seatte hanging on the wall. This room (when it's clean and neat) makes me happy! You don't have to have a huge house or walk in closet to plan ahead.

Here are some pictures of my outfits and my tags:

Any tips for the rest of us who do outfit planning or want to be more organized?

I hope you're all staying warm wherever you are today! Thanks for reading and following along with me!

  3. I love this Sandae. Planning outfits is one of my favorite things to do. Most of the time I use my StyleBook App on my iPhone. It allows me to plan without messing up my whole bedroom.

  4. I love that you added your purses! I'm not a typical purse girl but I have a lot of cute ones. Maybe if I put them with my outfits I might switch them out more. Great post!
