Joyful June Style: Days 16-22

This past week's themes were so much fun! I had a blast dressing up each day and seeing all of your outfits as well! 

Day 16- Sassy in Stripes- I took the opportunity this day to do some pattern mixing and wear my new floral skirt with an older striped tee. I sent a pair of shoes back and got a credit so I used some of the money to buy the skirt on sale. I saw a few other gorgeous ladies with the skirt and the dress in this pattern and loved it so I decided to give it a try when I saw it pop back in my size! 


I saw lots of pattern mixing on this day! I chose to feature my IRL (in real life) friend @craftymama77 for this day. I love how she has gotten so bold and is having fun with fashion and this style challenge! 


Day 17- Inspired by Carrie Bradshaw- This was a tie for my favorite day! I didn't religiously watch and Sex and the City when it was on, but I do like the show and the movies. Besides, she has impeccable style and who else can get away with wearing what she does?! 


I saw lots of tulle skirts, top knots and pearls for this day from all of you! I chose to feature @tayloradaly for her interpretation of this day. I love the full skirt and flower belt and she just looks like she is having fun! 


Day 18- Golden Girl(s)- This was my other favorite day!  I kind of wanted to dress in eighties attire for this day because some of their outfits were so good! Blanche was always my favorite! I opted for the lemon dress though as I had big plans for tea that day. Read all about it in my latest Sunday Style post! 


When I thought of the Golden Girls theme, I wasn't sure if people would dress up like them or if they would wear shades of gold or yellow. My friend @jennysanzo chose a beautiful gold top and a necklace that belonged to her great grandmother. Such a cute look!

Day 19- Patterned Printed Pants- I chose to wear my fabulous watercolor print pants from Lands End this day with a bright tee. I love these pants so much! They are so comfortable and so fun! 


I was loving all of the printed and patterned pants that I saw on this day! I chose to feature @jplemm1118 because I loved the pants with the white shirt and sandals. Such a simple yet nice look for the summertime! And what a great print! 


Day 20- Sailing Away- I thought what more could be nautical than my sailor skirt? I loved this skirt when I bought it years ago at Banana Republic and still do! I added a fun sailboat tee from Lands End, some striped wedges and a coral bead necklace. This outfit was fun and functional for a telepresence meeting with a buddy in London. 


I chose to feature @obywest20 for this day. Her nautical colors outfit was great and I have serious envy of her shoes! She always looks like she is having so much fun while posing for her pictures! 
Day 21- Tropical Paradise- The only thing tropical about my outfit this day was the color of the paint and the humidity! This was the day of the Color Run ( more to come on the blog later) so I didn't post an outfit picture on this day. 

I chose to feature two ladies on this day: @drcorey and @happygal1976. I love the tropical vibes in their outfits and they both looked very fabulous! 

Day 22- Floral Frenzy- Remember how I said I loved my Lands End floral pants? It seems like whenever I wear the pants I end up wearing the tee soon after. My family and I enjoyed a beautiful Sunday in Ann Arbor and I was able to capture this fun picture while there. These tees are so comfy and this virtually goes with any color that you have! 


 I love @ellenst4 's collage for this day! She has the most beautiful colors in her pictures and her outfit is so pretty!

It’s a special edition of Travel Tuesday on a Thursday!   Ya’ll  need to get on board with going to Galveston! If you’re in the DFW area and you want to get to the beach, you can head south a few hours and get to Galveston easily! Less Bitter, More Glitter

The saying goes "Spread Kindness around like Glitter" -okay it is really "Spread Kindness around like Confetti", but why not glitter instead? Glitter can be messy, it can be hard to clean up and can be fun and colorful. Just like our lives. Just a friendly reminder that this time of year can especially be a hard time for people. Holidays are a time when a lot of people see their friends and family but sometimes people don’t have anyone. Or maybe there are some people who don’t have much money to get gifts. Or some are remembering those that are no longer with us here on earth. Regardless of how you do or do not celebrate, remember to throw kindness around freely! Less bitterm more glitter! It’s a great time to spread cheer but so is all year!   Show a smile to a stranger or pay for someone’s drink behind you in line. Write someone a note to tell them how much you appreciate them.
